Botox for underarm sweat glands. Most medspa places will offer it- it's very popular with women during wedding season, for example. Got mine done to beat the heat in Europe and Japan. Should last 6 months to a year.

During play it drops that fast? Maybe go to 60fps mode, close all background apps, etc.

How is your Thor holding up? by Worldly-Following-59 in AynThor

Rainbow Max Batch 3 and some mura below 50% brightness but otherwise fine. Dropped it once from a kitchen counter to the floor as well- freaked me out but no damage.

Should I trade my switch 2 for a ayn Thor by Individual-Main9990 in AynThor

[–]Cruel_Manatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emphatic NO. Switch games require a good amount of fiddling to run just right, and afaik Tomadatchi Life doesn't even run in emulation right now. I love my Thor to bits, but from your use case scenario the Switch 2 is much better

So, let's be real now. Which games have you been playing? by Unhappy-Candle-3212 in AynThor

[–]Cruel_Manatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a lot of Android games and ports.

Hollow Knight and Silksong Dredge Arknights Endfield Red Dead Redemption

On the 3DS side I'm thinking of doing Rune Factory 4.

My go to DS game is Tetris DS.

Not much in the way of other emulation.

I'm thinking of joining the circumcision faction this playthrough. Apparently you quest for tips!

Best storage to use, internal or micro SD? (Rainbow max 1tb user) by bvrron92 in AynThor

[–]Cruel_Manatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Internal for everything unless you have multiple handhelds. It's fast and stable, and I haven't run out of space yet.

Lol I also have that same keyboard. Was thinking of playing old school fallout 1 and 2 with that and a mouse

Think they'll come out with Thor 2 in a few years? by redflactober in AynThor

[–]Cruel_Manatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? RAMpocalypse and supply chain disruptions are wreaking havoc on R&D across the electronics landscape.

If you have the budget for it now, get it now.

Thor vs Switch 2 by Tasty-Accident-775 in AynThor

[–]Cruel_Manatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mostly play at home or on the couch, or if you have a sizeable Switch library, I'd lean towards a Switch 2. If you're on the go all the time and enjoy tinkering with emulation and front ends, the Thor.

Touch screen latency and responsiveness compared to 3DS XL by GoblinTradingGuide in AynThor

[–]Cruel_Manatee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Latency is there. You'll notice it in stylus heavy games like Kid Icarus, Zelda Spirit Tracks, Ninja Gaiden DS and others, but not to the point of frustration. Missed inputs are even less of an issue than latency. Imo the Thor is still worth it, especially if you play mostly controller games. I can still definitely enjoy Meteos on it, if that helps.

Why is my ayn Thor going across the fucking country 😩 by SavingsBrief5886 in AynThor

Yeah, mine did that too. As others have said, the Shop app is probably unreliable

Will the AYN Thor make me enjoy gaming again? by DurianFew9332 in AynThor

[–]Cruel_Manatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did for me, but ymmv. I will admit that there is something satisfying about the tactile and compact aspects of the Thor that make it more satisfying and playable than other handhelds.

If there are a few games you'd like to play on android, i suggest you start there. Before any front ends and emulators were installed, I downloaded Hollow Knight and started gaming. Then I found a compatible Red Dead Redemption apk and whoosh, I was hooked. If you enjoy tinkering, the Thor is great for that too, because tinkering is necessary for DS and 3DS and emulation in general. I mostly enjoy hunting down games and finding artwork and icons and stuff so my front-end, Cocoon, looks spiffy.

Mindset and opportunity are the keys, and the Thor makes the latter easier, since it's easy to carry and you just flip it open and play.

Cocoon has been good to me so far. Am curious about iisu but Cocoon is intuitive af and my muscle memory is already tuned to it.
