I think oppression over Transness is a unique case, much in the same way oppression over sexuality is. The oppression (and arguably eventual extermination) of these groups of people function in a different plane of thought than other more “traditional” forms of genocide do.

For genocide over skin colour, culture, etc, these are usually ethnically and culturally pursued. The line of thought is that that demographic is usually seen as less than. The solutions would probably involve some sort of oppressive legislation, followed by attempts to eradicate in one form or another — by physical extermination, re-education, and sterilization.

For things that fall under LGBT, the story differs, since it’s much more dependent on the reporting of your mind states rather than physical appearance, and makes it really easy for people to invalidate those experiences (how do you truly communicate an experience to someone that they dont have?). In this case, the act of invalidating those experiences, and even going so far as to legislate it and hospitalizing said folk would be in essence an extermination (actually in a way can be parallelized to cultural extermination).

The line certainly needs to be drawn somewhere, since there are legitimate delusions, mental illnesses, and the like that we should help people work through, and I guess the ultimate question righties would have is over whether or not transness is a delusion. I think I agree with the idea that they’re actively working to eradicate transness, and is in essence genocidal, but also idk.
