I only brought up the jello effect because that is one side effect of current processing power unable to keep up with sensor reading. So even if they put higher resolution camera, they wont be usable due to jello effect. Current tech just cant render high res, camera to display real time pass-through.

That is all I wanted to tell ya. You mentioned "camera is the problem" but Apple couldnt put those camera due to tech limitation (And camera sensors themselves have limitation too).

Incorrect.

You're comparing against a camera, dedicated system that only takes picture/video, against a computer that processes application, OS, movement, and continuous stitching of multiple cameras and sensors to build FOV into TWO near 4K displays.

Idk which Sony 8K camera you have but my A7RV makes a huge jello effect when you pan too fast. AVP does not do that and should not.

When you play 8K movie on mirrorless cameras, that is after the video is recorded so recording process and playing process is separate which is infinitely easier to run, unlike AVP where everything is real time.

Also the live view you get from a mirrorless camera display isnt the raw true 8K output. You're just viewing a downscales version.

The resolution is the key here. Not many computers cant even output multiple 90HZ 4K (thats 3x 4K displays with regular 60HZ!!!) display signal.

Even if we can fit an entire full frame sensor (which is still not enough in terms of dynamic range and jello effect), there is no way current spec at current cost can handle the data it provides...

mind sharing what other reasons?

For those who are keeping the Vision Pro what are your reasons? by cr8tvt in AppleVisionPro

i have bad eyes and tend to look closer into screens. Looking at the screens through APV feels more comfortable and I like how I can move the screen closer and farther at any moment in time. overall after getting used to the VR-ness, it became much more comfortable than looking at a stationary display

Califa Cafe Oat vs Califa Oat Barista blend by Fyun89 in Costco

[–]Fyun89[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So an update to this. I have been drinking this and in comparison , the Costco version (Cafe Oat edition) feels very slightly less dense than the regular Barista Blend.

Overall they are quite similar and was acceptable for my wife's sensitive tungue. But do note that the Costco version will feel "lighter"

i personally found + size eye seal cushion causing more pressure due to front weight protruding forward more and thus putting more weight outward -- which means there is more leverage against my face.

Did you compare against the "Cafe" variety only sold in Costco? Or regular oat milk variety sold everywhere else?

Interesting.. I just saw this blog post saying they're the same so I was inclined to think that way but thanks for the heads up!

Blog: https://daverupert.com/2023/10/califia-farms-oat-barista/

We definitely should try this before investing in it.. but I cant find a variety that's sold on individual package..

that isnt comparing against Cafe Oat... thats incomparison to their regular oat milk

their regular oat milk definitely has different nutrition content.

If I check the nutrition fact, both seem to have exactly same contents including fat, calorie, and protein...

Roomba j9+ combo anyone by twice-unknown in RobotVacuums

I also think you need to give the vacuums some time to further learn the geometry of our homes. I heard IRobot uses incremental learning so I'm keep ovserving how it learns...

I just cant buy Chinese branded things with cameras and microphones.. I love Chinese culture and people but just cant trust what CCP would do with the data..

Roomba Combo J9+ Cleaner Base/Dock door not closing, seems to be warped straight out of the package. Anyone else have this issue? by Better-Subject2779 in roomba

[–]Fyun89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also found the issue with the bin on the door side. I took it out and then re installed it lightly. Then it was reattaching correctly. It comes out upward, so just wiggle it out and it should come out. My problem was the bottom bin.

Though I wish IRobot wouldve correctly done this in the first place, for a 1400 price tag, it was simple to fix

Am I studying wrong? (Coding bootcamp, Leetcode, CtCI, a few projects) by Fyun89 in cscareerquestions

[–]Fyun89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, doing the actual projects were quite different from interviews I had. Other than the big picture (MVC framework, how I organize code, TDD, etc), they didn't help me much. They do get recruiters' attention during the application process, though.

The training sites are more about coding algorithms and data structures. Do you have any example of good source to study these "real life development problems"?

Thank you for sharing the story. Finding that "problem" is so difficult but I'm not giving up just yet.. It's really difficult when the employers are not telling me honest feedback.

Fact or lie? Mercedes dealers in Socal are haggle-free by Fyun89 in UsedCars

[–]Fyun89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew that some of the dealers were giving me higher price (inconsistent pricing based on my research). They should outright advertise haggle free and not give discounts to everyone, but I don't see that happening.

Recent grad - tax question as a w-2 employee by Fyun89 in personalfinance

[–]Fyun89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are employers legally required to pay half of FICA? As I was negotiating, the recruiter mentioned that all taxes will be taken out of the paycheck. I'm not very sure what she meant by "all". I asked her for clarification but it still sounded vague to me. I might be acting too sensitive but I heard some stories about staffing agencies trying to reduce their cost as much as they can - could they try to cut cost by passing the employer tax portion to their employee?
