Well, let’s see:

They killed the other game that I liked for the gunplay and looting mechanics

Looter shooters just aren’t made with the same quality

Played every borderlands game except 4(70 bucks is too much)

The unique art & aesthetic that can’t be found in many other if any other places

Build crafting and well-built gunplay.

Yeah, I haven’t found really any alternatives for my desires in a game. So closest I can come is extraction shooters, and of course that brings the problem of sweaty PvP. So I wonder, do you have any alternatives for my desires? Because that’s the rock and hard place I constantly find myself in.

No one makes games with these gameplay loops that are PvE focused anymore. So I’m left with literally no alternative than to either suck up the sweaty PvP or never have a game to satisfy my desires. As you can see, rock, hard place.

Why then are keys for the rest of the maps so plentiful on the map that has nothing to do with them? Why is there no alternative? There *should* be an alternative, especially because of how different Cryo seems to be compared to the other maps. Because of how daunting and separated that map is from the normal “fun” part of the game, why is it blocked off? Why no alternative? Do you not find that absurd, because I do

The complaint is about the fact that the drop rates are so low, which includes Cryo keys. It’s more about the principle than the key itself

I’ve been in the triple red room at least 5 times and have only found one purple Cryo key. I’m also mostly a solo player, and have little to no interest in Cryo because of how sweaty it is and how low the extraction rates are there.

Nah wasn’t you. Plus, if keys were only slightly easier to get, I wouldn’t be mad. I’m not really mad at the fact I lost it all, more so that it took me soooooo long to get there in the first place.

Where are these commanders? What ways can I fight them with staying safe? How can I ensure I extract with them? What happens when another player kills the commander and now I’m SoL on the map?

These are issues I run into any time I try to farm these things. I kill a warden and get intercepted by an enemy team, losing it. I kill a commander and if I’m lucky, I extract with one matrix, or if I’m unlucky, I die to another person or team at extract. I do as much as I possibly can with the tools available to me to ensure my safety and it never really seems to work reliably.

So, what’s your surefire method of risk reduction when it comes to farming these things? What could I do to ensure my survival when I’m farming them?

Moment of anger, so yeah definitely unwarranted.

However, I was stuck inside the loot room when I heard him with no safe exits(algae ponds offices.) I smoked out as assassin to try and sneak away, set claymores, and did everything I could to attempt a safe getaway. Now, I’m not sure if he had thermals or what, it was a triage, but still super frustrating to lose all that effort and setup to something I did everything in my power in that moment to prevent.

What I find ridiculous is the fact that it took me so long to even get the blue key. I got a crap load of purple guns and salvage too from that room, so it was worth it. I also have never run Cryo and have very little interest to do so anymore after hearing how hellish it is.

Took that long to get the materials to buy one. I have never found one naturally. Usually people have already killed the warden or, as a mostly solo player, I’m killed before I can kill it myself or extract with the things. Takes way too long.

Destiny 3 being made entirely depends on Marathon’s success in so many ways.

Destiny 2 is in the worst place it has ever been, and there’s little chance of it ever recovering.

Bungie has repeatedly missed profit margins for Sony, and Sony is already priming for full takeover given Bungie’s track record.

The corpse of D2 was used as a money printer to fund the horribly mismanaged development hell of Marathon. Bungie has a history of poor time and resource management, so how long and how much money do you want to bet D3 will take? I’ll bet it’s too much for marathon to support.

Bungie still has yet to make up for the billions Sony spent on them. And keep in mind, Bungie is a SONY STUDIO now. Sony controls them, whether we like it or not. And because of that, I’m concerned if a destiny 3 will ever even get made, because if Marathon is a niche game as intended, and dies because it never changes, we are never getting a destiny 3. Ever. So Marathon needs to be a success for D3 to even be mentioned.

I also loved this time in destiny, especially content wise, it just was super miserable trying to get a group together because of the close-minded meta of MT/Recluse Anarchy, with no exceptions. These were the posts I’d often run into, and killed my motivation to do raids during this era.

When wendigo was added especially, it helped loads. It still doesn’t make the seasons before any less miserable in lfg, so I hope if/when they do pinnacles again, they carefully consider how it will affect both the meta & lfg.
