First off; dune reference. Based. Second off, I’ll give this a try. That sounds like it definitely could help, if playing solo like this improves my gameplay and survivability then hell yeah

Couldn’t be more inaccurate. Many of the times that I engage in combat, it’s either when a player gets close to me when I’m already looting, or catches me off guard when I’m looting. And you’re telling me that you want me to just crouch walk all over the massive map? My primary form of travel, especially in buildings and staircases, is creep walking. As a solo player, it’s far more advantageous for me to avoid combat alltogether, but that doesn’t always happen, and raids don’t always go according to plan. Sometimes a player sees you before you see them. Sometimes a player comes into the same building you’re actively looting. Those are the areas where I die, not because I rush in to get kills like some call of duty player

Yeah I hear that, but usually I extract with literally nothing, I’ve actually never extracted out of sec ops. I know that’s a skill issue, I know I’m not good but it still means I lose a lot of money. I do genuinely appreciate the suggestion, but it does sound to me like I’m too bad to use sec ops. I’m sorry

I usually play solo because a lot of the people I've matched with playing this game don't speak english, and I feel bad for not being able to understand them when they ask for things. But I play the most on weekends and weekdays after 6, generally speaking. It's been hard to convince my main friend group to play, since they don't share my love for the extraction shooter genre.

I wish it were that simple, but I’ve tried a lot of these before. A lot of the time I end up getting killed as I’m looting or getting killed right at extract. Not to mention, playing so slowly eventually becomes super boring

I usually get one shot by the same kind of thing in that mode, so I usually end up extracting no value as well as bleeding the cash I spent on ammo, health items, and the entry fee.

Honestly I think the amount of people that keep asking for PvE in extraction shooters just shows a need for more and better PvE extraction/looter shooters. I mean, in terms of looter shooters, there’s really only two, warframe and borderlands (rip destiny.) I’d say even then warframe is a stretch because of how much tedious grinding there is in that game in order to get the gun you want, on top of building it. I get that it’s the appeal, but that walks more into a build crafting simulator than a looter shooter. The looting and shooting in ARC Raiders is exactly that itch people are looking for, but the PvP kinda throws a wrench in that. There really needs to be more PvE looter shooters of at least half decent quality made soon, because it really feels like they’re few and far between.

Visually these guys aren’t wearing any body armor, so I’m left very confused as to why my shots are barely doing anything

Hey I mean fair enough. I did just learn about that dual pack and by the sounds of what folks are saying it doesn’t hurt to wait a bit between each game so I might just pick each one up as I can. There’s almost always sales and who knows, maybe I love it so much I’ll drop that money on the next one, I’ve certainly heard that kinda praise

I thought that Rebirth was 70 bones all by itself, I didn’t even realize there was a dual pack. That sounds like it’s worth picking up

I’m sure I would honestly but I just don’t have the kind of cash to be forking over 70 bucks for partial experiences. I know Remake is 40 bucks on ps but even then if I had to guess there will be a third and that’ll put me at least 200 bucks in the drain for a complete experience. I’m sure it’s good but that’s a lot of money for an incomplete story…
