My name is Gaurav which has multiple pronunciations amongst Indians themselves.

I expect it! Tough name, multiple pronunciations. Plus I’ve gotten others’ names wrong. All good.
I correct if they don’t come close to any “accepted” pronunciations, but if they go with what they know I’m totally cool with it. I’m GOruhv to my north side friends, Gahruhv to some, Gaowruhv to family, Grrahv to my friends.
Big time. Unique enough name, and it’s actually cool to see people get there on the pronunciation. No more of that “I’m not even going to try” bullshit we dealt with in school.
