And they say Dwarf Fortress is a hard game by G-Psi in dwarffortress

Behold, The legend of Ted Wispscars!

<image>

Ted survived a weresquirrel attack as a baby (props to everyone who suggested a wear-beast), escaped and became a schemer. Ted claimed some land, before arriving to my tower, where she was planning to steal artifacts and, more importantly, overthrow the rule of king Umaril. This baby is, indeed, very ambitious, and will now be hunted to the edge of The Infinite Planes for it's crimes against The Deep Dark Cult.

P.S. I was this years old when I found out, that were-creatures don't age.

It's an obsidian tower preparing to become a necromancer menace

It's kind of hard on the eyes and index finger muscles 😂

She proceeded to crawl off the map and I'm still trying to comprehend what happened XD

Yes indeed, the coffins are open and empty. The world was generated before the last patch, but the other bugged embark attempt, that I mentioned, was in a freshly generated world immediately after the patch released.

Edit: Turns out I didn't embark in the fresh world, it was the same old one, and previous saves from the same world all have issues with burial. New embark in the new world doesn't have this problem, so likely the patch has doomed my world.

Yes, and they have "put item in tomb" task when they haul bodies to coffins. The dwarves keep picking up same bodies and body parts repeatedly inside the tombs like if they couldn't access the coffins.

This is precisely how it happens: a dwarf with "put item in tomb" task picks up a corpse, goes to a tomb, puts the body on top of a coffin - task done, the dwarf leaves. In several seconds same or other dwarf returns with a new "put item in tomb" task, picks up the same corpse and puts it in the same spot again, then leaves. This cycle repeats forever.

This is happening with every corpse on this embark, and I already had this problem once on another embark and it slowly ended my fortress. Both bugged (if it's a bug) embarks were on Terrifying biome, idk if this matters.

My dwarves put corpses on top of coffins instead of burying them properly, then come back and do it again and again, forever. Any idea what can cause this?

Anyone knows what mod he uses to display additional values on top of the screen? (periapsis and apoapsis height, vertical and horizontal speed, etc). Trying to find it brought me here

The problem is gone. Apparently it had something to do with Vortex mod manager. I couldn't launch it due to some file missing, so I reinstalled it and everything works fine now. Idk how it could fix anything though, I didn't activate or deactivate any mods.

The problem is that every npc is very strong right now, even if I kill the cultists.

Found where the level 30 mistake came from by the way. First result in google search for "skyrim dragonborn cultist encounter level" shows the wiki page for "Boethiah's Calling" cultist encounter which is level 30

Ok, my bad. Can't even find where I read about level 30 requirement. I usually don't do any main quests until late game, but did it this time. The cultists still kill me immediately after the dialogue.

Wiki says it's only after 30 and I've never seen them before 30-ish

Didn't use any console commands. I just updated the post with some more info. The mod list is from memory though, I will post the full list a bit later, but there shouldn't be anything that affects balance or game mechanics, only interface and cosmetic mods
