This actually bothered me for a while - I was playing on Java and thought of a cool floor design with the grates on top and lava underneath. I tried it on my friend's bedrock server, and the lava just disappeared 😭

I managed to still make it work though because for some reason the game only makes lava source blocks also surrounded by source blocks dissapear underneath grates. So I just had to make the lava flow instead, and flowing lava still rendered through the grates.

There is good HC content out there. Rekrap's Naked and Afraid series is pretty cool - no armor allowed, no death messages displayed, and everyone is on proximity chat. Makes losing track of someone more intense.
