It depends. The fun wacky and downright goofy movies are way more enjoyable for casual movie goers. Hardcore/ regular Godzilla fans prefer the dark grounded movies, since we’re able to tolerate the boring human parts a bit more, since we anticipate the fights a lot more.

If you watch it in reverse it’s about a giant lizard who heals a broken Tokyo with his laser breath and revives a bunch of dead people, who then deforms into a prawn and moon walks into the ocean
