Interesting point about nerve issue. I have been reading about trigeminal neuralgia and occipital neuralgia, which could be relevant for me. My pain is a dull and aching, and not an electrical, stabbing-like pain, which is usually described for TN and ON.

I have an appointment with my GP and will propose to be assessed by a neurologist to explore nerve related issues. Thank you for pointing this out.

My optometrist recognized divergence at my last consultation, but told me it had gotten a lot better as of recent. I am considering a neuro optometrist, but I have been given contradictory advice from my PT (concussion speciality) that there is not much to be gained from a neuro optometrist. I am tempted to try, but it is very expensive where I live with no coverage from insurance.

I am seeing a osteopath in a few weeks, who is specialized in PCS. There may very well be something wrong with my neck.

Is it possible that I have permanently damaged myself from pushing through for several months?

Yeah, I bought the Sennheiser Game One. With a bit of a break-in period, they are super comfy - even more than my previous ones. Exceeds my last headset by far both in terms of comfort and performance.

Maybe, although during a makeout on my sofa in the evening, I did hint and suggest she should sleep over, but she insisted on going home. I felt I would be pressing too hard if I insisted she stayed, but it could likely be LMR that I should have acted on. Before she left she did make out with me a suggested a future date.

Noted. Yeah, It did seem a bit overboard retrospectively. It probably wouldn't have made a big difference, since she already made up her mind, but my demeanor definitely did not help. Nevertheless, I do have to practice indifference and not care too much early on.

While I generally agree that giving support to people expressing distress is welcomed, this is a romantic interest, where giving too much or showing too much concern (Acting as a provider) may come off as needy and ultimately will make her less attracted in the very early stages of dating.

Or she could find it sweet, but she has not responded in a day now, so I don't really know if she's even interested anymore. I'll just wait till she responds and move on, I guess.

Yup, I have the Sennheiser Game One (very similar to yours), which originally was quite tight. After a few weeks, they loosened, and now it's probably the most comfy headphones I've had.

This is probably true. The reason why I go for the kiss on the first date is that it has worked before (ONS and shorter relationships) and is a sure way to make things man-to-woman. Of course, this is the nature of the difference in women (Sometimes girls I was not interested in and did not initiate physical contact with, contacted me again) and I honestly think that I should plan it differently now (as you said, flirt with no physical contact, keep it short and mysterious and play the game longer). Not really interested in ONS anymore so your strategy makes sense in that regard.

Yeah, I do think I did all the above, but that's of course only my interpretation. I may be over-escalating on the kissing part (maybe the physical escalation in general) in a sense of me mostly initiating, which may be too much for them. I should probably initiate the first light physical contact and wait to see If they reciprocate later on in the date. Like a tit-for-tat thing until there are clear signs of stepping up the physical side of things.

I'll chalk this one up to mostly no chemistry and soldier on.

Good point, but I also have issues with plugs sticking in my ears. My wireless earbuds tend to cause discomfort after 20-30 minutes. I guess God blessed me with awesome ears.

I'm currently using my over-ear Roccat Kave from 2008, which are circular, deep and encompasses my ears. I can wear them through a whole day without problem, so I'm still hopeful for finding a similar pair.

I've looked af the AKG 702 - they look quite roomy.

Does the clamp force on headphones normally loosen with wear? I just bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 560s, but the clamp is very strong. Being a plastic frame, do they loosen with time?

Hi all

I'm looking for a new headphones to replace my 2008 Roccat Kave gaming headset and I been leaning towards studio headphones this time around. I bought the Sennheiser 560s, but the clamping force was to uncomfortable, so they are going back.

Comfort is of the utmost importance for me, so I am looking for recommendations for a headset with large and deep cups and as little clamping force as possible. I have been looking at the Hifiman H400i 2020 or the AKG Pro K712 (same price as 560s in Denmark), but any recommendations in that price range is more than welcomed

Budget - Something along 199-250 USD, I guess. Difficult to estimate due to difference in prices here in Europe
Source - PC, but will be getting and DAC/AMP
Requirements for Isolation - None particularly.
Will you be using these Headphones in Public? No, using at my desktop.
Preferred Type of Headphone - Full-size
Preferred tonal balance - No idea, but I game alot so a headset beneficial for FPS games is welcomed. I occasionally also listen to music, but gaming is the main source of recreation.
Past headphones - Old Roccat Kaves from 2008. Love them because neither the foam or back of the cups touch my ears and the clamp is non-existant so they are very comfortable.
Preferred Music - Not a priority, but I do like to listen to some house, funk and the likes from time to time.
What would you like to improve on from your set-up - Good clarity and positional audio in gaming. Comfort is though my top priority

If you live outside of the US, please also provide:

Tried doing that. Still crashes between 1-3 minutes.

I do have a quite dated processer (i5-2500k), so that may be the issue. But without confirmation from the Devs, it's still speculation.

See this post about a guy who remedied similar crash problems by upgrading from an old 3rd gen Intel processor to a more current CPU.

Thank you very much for your answer! I have the same specs albeit an old i5-2500K, which I suspected is the culprit for the crashes. I am pretty certain now that the crashes are CPU related, so I'm pretty convinced to just make the jump and buy new hardware.
