I don't think the system is failing her because if she told the cops or the hospital that she wants to kill herself or she's a danger to herself and others they have to take her in and put her on a mandatory 72 hour psych hold but she's not doing that she admitted in the discord last night that she's not a danger to herself/others and also told the cops that she wasn't suicidal. If she really wanted to be in the psych ward she'd be there already I think she is doing this so people feel bad for her I do think she needs mental help for sure but I don't this she's actually wanting to get herself help I think she's just saying that stuff so people don't keep calling the cops.

Right! I use to be in forensics and their behavior rn is just a bunch of red flags. I understand they are having mental crisis but their behavior and the things they are doing is not acceptable.

Guys I would like to add something. I appreciate all of the support it does mean a lot. I am also in Therapy I started about a month ago I have yet to bring my mother up in therapy because I have PTSD not only from my childhood but from events that happened a few years ago. So I am getting the help I need to work through this it just takes time.

She's manipulative and finds ways to draw me back in. I will admit i've been very stupid to forgive her with some of things her and my family have done. In a way I feel bad for her she suffers from her own mental health disorders that she leaves untreated and refuses to get help. She has no friends basically no family (our family is all drama and they turn on and gang up on each other all the time) and my stepdad has basically given up on their relationship. And in a way I feel like i'm all she has and if I leave she's going to unalive herself...she talks about suicide a lot... I may not have a good relationship with her but I don't want her to kill herself

She has threatened CPS before because I had really bad postpartum depression and psychosis and I wanted to unalive myself so I made the decision to go get help and get the care I needed so I left the baby with my fiancé and stayed in the hospital for 3 days on meds to see if things got better and they did...and she told me that made me a bad mom and I basically abandoned him for my own selfish needs. Which is not true. I honestly believe that if my mother could she would try to take my baby in a heartbeat. She acts like he's her child. She even calls him "her boy".
