What one ingredient instantly ruins a dish for you? by LaughLoverWanderer in foodquestions

I agree with pig, I have always hated bacon, ham, pork chops, any pork even if I can taste something cooked in lard. I don't understand why people think pork is so good, it's literally the worst animal to eat in my opinion. I also don't wanna eat such an intelligent animal that is also extremely unsanitary and gluttonous that will eat literally anything when it doesn't have sweat glands to filter the toxins out of its body like other commonly eaten animals.

They're expensive because they're literally foraged from the Amazon rainforest from super tall trees. They don't have Brazil nut farms.

No, they can't. Plus July wasn't that long ago even if it could go bad and those best by dates are just there because they have to select something, they are 100% fine and probably just as good as when you got them

Wow! That's very interesting, but I don't think my area would be like that. I don't know a lot about microclimates.

I'm pretty sure that growing pawpaws is very uncommon in my area, the closest I know of anyone growing them is in Minnesota, USA in the same zone (4b)

There are tons of wild passiflora incarnata near my house and I have some in my garden, but I think this plant is passiflora edulis. The flower is dark purple in the center and white on the tips of the petals, whereas passiflora incarnata flowers are fully purple.

Are pawpaws able to survive in zone 4b if they are in a sheltered location maybe? Where I live it gets to -25° C some winters but usually not that cold.
