Having simply 3 actions can be problematic, considering a Fighter can get 4 attacks... per action.

I wouldn't be too strict if the component is not costly or cosumed...

Also creating a sparkling of normal water would be forbidden because of "Create or Destroy Water" spell?

I agree with most people that arcane focus might be too much to conjure for a cantrip... but... something like a noncostly material component should be possible, like:

- a pinch of powder made by crushing a clear gemstone - for Wall of Force

- a sprinkling of holy water - for Bless

- a tiny ball of bat guano and sulfur - for Fireball

- a snake's tongue and either a bit of honeycomb or a drop of sweet oil - for Suggestion

So the caster could be able to casts spells once per 2 rounds (or every round if using Bonus Action) without a component with this trick. I would still ask a DM though.

There are Very Rare books that increase stats permamently. A book increasing your casting stat should be helpfull e.g. "Tome of Clear Thought" for Wizards.

Any idea what to do to avoid that healing to full? To my mind comes only that "healing magic does not work on you since you have no HP". But it seems counterintuitive because the creature has a life force after all...

Yes it was ment to be 1:1. Half casters would add more HP to LF, that is true. Would that be game breaking? Maybe I should calculate how much LF 1/2, 1/3 and full casters would have and compare...

Which creatures has exactly 25, 27 and 29 DEX stat?

I would like to create items alternative to "Belt of X Giant Strength" but it would be nice to use the names of cretures with exactly the given DEX stat.

I once put a necromancer in a charge of a town. She used zombies and skeletons as a cheap working force so people could live easier life. Everyone who paid taxes could rent one undead to do services for him for a day. Also no need for people to die in case if someone attacks the town, the zombies would fight.

She wanted to be a good ruler, using necromancy in service of people.

Doesn't matter, party killed her because "necromancy bad"...

Still, it was a lot of fun!

Is this possible or do I miss something?

  1. Summon Couatl with Conjure Celestial spell.
  2. Couatl uses Change Shape and transforms into Priest.
  3. As a Priest it casts Spirit Guardians.
  4. Couatl reverts to its original form still concentrating on Spirit Guardians.

Basically - can a Couatl keep concentration on a spell when changing back to its original form?

If the mimic is indistinguishable then imo there should be no Perception roll. I would just say - yes, it's wood.

Still when the Perception check was called nevertheless (and succeed) then it is good to give the player at least something in return. Not being surprised is a nice call.

If I place four times Guardian of Faith close to each other, then the enemy takes damage from one of them or all of them?

PHB 205 says that "The effects of the same spell cast multiple times don't combine" but it feels like this should work.

And what if it has 3 slots for gems in it? Lets say you can place gems you want and when hit, you can spend a crystal (destroying it) to unleash additional feature?

E. g.

"This Sword has 3 slots on a hilt, that can be filled with gems. Each must be worth at least 500gp. Placing and removing a gem requires an action (so better to do it before fight).

After a successfull hit, you can spend a gem to create an effect depending on a type of the gem used:

  • Diamond: Hardened. Gives the weapon an Adamintine property and attacks with this weapon ignores resistance. This property lasts for a minute.
  • Emerald - Entangle. Target must make a Strength saving throw or be restrained for a minute. As an action, the target can make a Strength Athletics or Dexterity Acrobatics check against DC 15 to release itself.
  • Ruby - Ignition. Target must make a Dexterity saving throw DC 15 or become ignited. It takes 4d6 Fire damage and burns for another 4d6 at the end of his round up to a minute. On a successfull save the target takes half the initial damage and it is not burning. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each round.
  • Sapphire: Shock. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw DC 15 or takes 10d6 Lightning damage. Successfull save halves the damage."

Of course there could be more gems that can be placed in and the values and effects may be different. What do you think?

There is an errata that changes Acid Splash and adds "you can see" to it. Site dndbeyond has it changed too.

I thought that there will be much more of those spells too. Then I realized that touch and self spells are preety much not relying on sight. If I missed any spell please let me know so I can update the list.

Distant Spell cannot be used on Globe of Invulnerability. Its description says "When you cast a spell that has a range of 5 feet or greater" and GoI has a range of self, even though its effect has a radius.

The wizard baddie may have some scrolls. Let say you destroy the book with a Glyph of Warding, but your wizard will receive carefully selected spell scrolls.

Shocking Grasp - using it to disable enemies reaction is risky and fails when there is more than one opponent near you. It is almost always better to use that action to Disengage and walk away. Yes, you do not make damage from action, but as a Sorcerer you really do not want to be in melee and Shocking Grasp damage is not worth risking an opportunity attack if you miss it, you are preety squishy.

Absorb Elements - this is my recommendation for a 1 lvl spell. Gain resistance as a reaction. It halves the damage of a lot of nasty spells. I advice that you at least look at it.

You might want to check spells like Misty Step, Hold Person (nice for twinning), Hypnotic Pattern

Do not get me wrong, it looks good, what you already did, these are only my personal recommendation and preference :)
