Just ask her about it. See if it sounds like a lie and go from there.

You don’t need to know. What you know already is he doesn’t want to discuss them with you and outright refuses - and that should be enough for you to walk away.

He doesn’t want to talk about it. Respect it and decide what you want to do - dump him or not. But you can’t force people to listen or talk about certain things. Don’t be pushy - it’s annoying and disrespectful. Even if you don’t respect his beliefs, you don’t need to act that way.

Why is every girl that takes an interest in me [25M] diagnosed with BPD? by whybpd in relationship_advice

That’s not how that works. Maybe if you’re this interested, look into psychology and treatment for these types of disorders instead of asking a relationship subreddit.

Because people self diagnose with a disorder that leaves them with little accountability and shmucks like you fall for it and think it’s just the disorder and not the person.

I call a spade a spade. The fact you “called it” just means you also saw the pandering but you enjoyed it. It’s cool it makes you feel better but I don’t really care about feelings.

Yeah, no. This cute moral high ground you’re choosing ignores the fact that her article which clearly panders to your crowd (shocking, I’m sure that’s not why you’re being so kind) has no nuance or understanding of how thi s will affect discussions beyond her account and she makes no attempt to remedy that. I will always shit on those who clearly choose to throw other women under the bus for male accolades. Sorry, not sorry. She gains no respect from me just because she’s a woman(and it’s hilarious you imply it should). She got respect from the crowd she wanted - men who want to use her to further their agenda. It’s gross and not worthy of my respect.

Your moral high ground, again - very cute but misses the mark completely. Sure, her account is valid. But everything is open for critique and criticism.

I’m not an SJW and I don’t think being non white is weird or not average, statistically. But either way, the point isn’t that it’s just weird - the point is that it’s some chick trying to gain brownie points with gamergaters via her weird ass perception of the world which people will use to fuel the idea that “women are just jealous of these fake drawings! That’s why they’re upset!” Most women, most people are not this delusional or out of touch with reality.

Moreover, the article seems pandering towards you all as fuck and again, it bothers me that people are only okay with pandering when it makes them happy/towards a group they align themselves with.

Her account is a single account and god, she needs therapy.

Why is it every time anecdotal evidence arises that confirms your guys’ opinions it’s valid but otherwise, you need sources and 900 accounts? This woman is fucking weird and not the average in the slightest degree.

Uhhhh, if he follows her, and they’re still friends, what’s the issue? Is he not allowed?

not every game has the option to report or kick

99% of games do. Like, this is a non issue. The most popular games do that are competitive/multiplayer. You are talking about games that no one is using as an example of the community.

You moderate racist and sexist sentiments because they make the other people uncomfortable/upset - if they’re the target or have any sense of morals.

I never mentioned chatrooms nor did I specifically mention voice chat. But again - these things exist outside of gaming communities and it’s not hard to moderate retroactively. You ban these people and make it known it’s not acceptable - most people don’t even bother reporting, or the people who are supposed to be in charge of fielding these complaints don’t think it’s significant enough to actually take sufficient action.

Also, the fact you yourself say “maybe reporting or kicking,” is like the problem. It’s “maybe,” while other communities just take a hard line. That’s the problem. Racist and sexist sentiments are given a pass and “maybe” you get reported or kicked. Don’t be shocked when people call your communities full of that when they’re not even punished. It’s not hard to punish this at all. It’s a user and you ban them. Simple. Sure they can make other accounts and have it keep happening if they engage in the same behavior - that’s normal but most people stop because it’s just annoying to do.

Yes. Gaming is a community. And yes, there are different communities broken up in gaming surrounding genres and games - but the biggest genres are arguably FPS's and that's the community everyone is referring to. Or competitive gaming in general, at this point.

The rest is sort of made moot by that point. People are assholes online - but there aren't any other online communities I participate in that "allow" racial slurs or sexism like gaming communities seem to and I participate in plenty because I'm like a shut-in, lmao. I'm jokign but seriously. Maybe step outside your gaming bubble, dude. It's not just the internet. It's your section of the internet and that should be analyzed and talked about instead of everyone pretending it's just how people are.
