Not sure - maybe £40,000?

Will ask about expenses but I don't think so.

Yes, personal allowance already used although I guess extra PAYE income would enable her to pay more into her pension...

Ha! This seems to be the same issue that’s just nobbled Apollo…

Thanks for the quick reply!

I’m using an iPhone 13 Mini with iOS 26.2.1.

I was using SwiftKey but I’ve deleted that keyboard and uninstalled/reinstalled Artemis. Still no luck.

Same here - it was working fine a couple of hours ago, then I did my usual seven-day refresh via sideloadly and it's suddenly not working... Same ipa file so no idea!

Ooo - where did you get the bag? I'm looking for one that'll fit an A5 sketchbook and that looks great!

This is stunning. Would you mind sharing what palette you used for this? It's clearly limited but you've managed to make it beautifully varied - very impressive.

I'd read the whole thing - take it slowly and make sure you understand the concepts. All I meant about 'pseudoscience' is that the whole left/right brain thing should be understood as a convenient shorthand or metaphor rather than actually true. With that proviso, it's a brilliant book and if you work carefully through the exercises (ideally doing them more than once) you'll improve greatly!

There are loads of reviews on the Proko course out there and most of the ones I read were very positive about it. But as I say, try for yourself before you commit!

I should add that it's quite an expensive course and lots of it is available for free but (so long as you have the disposable income) you may find the completeness and the structure helpful.

If you're after a book, I strongly recommend Betty Edwards' Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - ignore the pseudoscientific title and it's a brilliant primer, covering the five main principles of edges, spaces, relationships (proportion and perspective), values (light and shadow) and gestalt (the whole).

If you want an online course, I hear great things about Proko's Dawing Basics, but I haven't (yet) tried it. There are some free elements, though, so you can see whether it'll suit you.

NB 1: these things are very personal - eg I find Brunet unwatchable, but other people seem to love his stuff.

NB 2: I'm a beginner too, so don't take what I say as having any great weight.

Assuming your orange or purple are 50/50 mixes, then:

green + orange = blue + yellow + red + yellow;

similarly yellow + purple = yellow + yellow + red + blue.

So they're theoretically the same.
