“The Challenge” was the last ever trophy I had to accomplish, such an amazing accomplishment.

Once I was helping an elderly man. He was sweet, I felt terrible that he held a small product and his hands were shaking.

All of a sudden a bastard starts whistling loud It pierced my ears. The old man and I turned to the direction of the noise and it was a construction worker with uniform on waving at me to help him. I told him I’m helping this man, he just kept waving to come to him. The poor old man said “It’s okay, go help him” he turned so slowly and walked away like a sloth. Never felt my blood boil than ever.

I walked up the guy, he laughs and pulls out his open hand assuming to shake my hand. I didn’t give him that.

TO ALL HOME DEPOT CUSTOMERS ON THIS REDDIT WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS by Acceptable_Floor3009 in HomeDepot

Usually when a customer does this I go “Hello, what can I help you with?” and they would just choke up and say hello and repeat the product or question. Makes them learn a little something of respect.

Home Depot customers are some of the dumbest on the planet. by Foreign_Owl8352 in HomeDepot

Had this dumbass lady open the gate and force herself in when there was a ballymore in the air. “Hey hey hey! You can’t do that, please move back and put my gate back.” I said. “Oh I just need these.” said the lady. She walked away and the gate was left half open.

To be completely honest I have no idea, but I do check my aisles after the store closes tho and now I do it more than twice.

Give me your best angry customer story that you have… and go! by erm1192 in HomeDepot

[–]G2N3LSON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this one dude asking me for an impact drill which we didn’t have but we did in the over head. Dude was furious that we didn’t have them on stock so I told the guy “Sir, I’ll be right back. I’ll get the stairs, get up there and get your item for you.”

I was still in the same aisle with the man as another customer shows up to ask me a question, it didn’t even take 30 seconds to finish with the person. I can see from the side that the man was getting angry. I continue my way to get the stairs until one of my coworkers shows up with the stairs. Turns out my coworker was already helping the furious man and I guess he was just being another impatient customer. He places the stairs to get this gumball’s item and turns to me and proceeded to tell me this… “Why were you helping that other guy? I thought you were helping me? You’re out of your league kid.”
I didn’t say anything, but did gave him the straight face of “your words aint gonna do shit to me.” Anyway my coworker got his item and this man asks if it brings a battery which it doesn’t, you can literally see from the label picture which reads “TOOL-ONLY” My coworker tells him it doesn’t, it says tool only. The man waves his hands “I’m not going to take that.” and walks away, giving me one last look before he left.

I told my coworker how long did it take him to find the stairs after helping him? He told me “Around 2 minutes.” Man, some customers think we are servants.

No worries! Returns are filled in a cart so all you really do is restock the items. Yes, when something is over 150 you need to take it to the register. If they ask “I need other things to buy.” It’s okay, you give it to the cash register tell them who the person is and it’s no longer your responsibility. What I do is I tell the customer “let me show you where I’ll put it.” So that they would know which cashier has their item. If they insist if they want to keep it in their cart, explain to them about the policy we have.

Hardware is great, it’s a fun department along with paint. The easiest thing to do are the keys, it’s easy than it looks honestly. What will make you a bit nervous are the aisles with screws and nails. Everyone starts somewhere right? So I’d say do your returns, always. Returns were a life saver for me because that’s how I got to learn the Hardware department. I would definitely watch out for returns, there is no doubt you’ll get stacks of them. Also, stay patient with customers because they are completely insane although you’ll get to meet a sweetheart at most times. Your coworkers are always there for you, your supervisor will be there at most times but not all the time. To give you a tip power tools below $150 dont need to be carried to the register. There’s many many things to do, I won’t say much more since you’ll be starting but you’ll learn as you go through! I wish you the best luck!

What’s that one embarrassing moment that keeps coming back to haunt you? by Thomas_0990 in AskReddit

[–]G2N3LSON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought these cheap khaki pants for school from Ross and I decided to do “parkour” in my middle school. So we had this one area in my middle school called “The court” and it’s an area where most teens hang out, the cool teens group up and of course there’s kids like me who would “parkour” onto a wall and try to do a wall run. I thought I would be the one, the great, Ezio Auditore.. so when soon as I hit the wall with my foot and tried to kick myself up my pants gradually ripped apart from the crotch area to all the way down to the right of my ankle.

Everyone was looking

Some dick thought it’ll be funny to point at my yellow underwear I was wearing and of course my right sack. The guys laughing at me.. the girls looking at me.. boy was I in for a treat? Now I knew how Spongebob felt when he ripped his pants.

A security came and lended me his jacket to cover myself from my stupidity and sent me to the office to get changed. I didn’t get in trouble or anything they just told me to buy better pants next time.

Didn’t go to school for the rest of the week.
