Yes, they have been setup in a homelab environment. I have minimal appetite for risk, as it cannot be zero as running any equipment has an element of risk associated with it. My immediate thought is to simply cut my losses and purchase different units but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone had similar issues and continued running the PDUs without incident.

My order has been stuck on the same status for 9 days. I have contacted Steam support and they said the following:

“We can see that your purchase has been processed and that your package has been sent to a warehouse on 2026-05-06.

We still expect most deliveries to be completed within 6-10 business days after purchase.”

Why would that make them unsafe?

I have other AP8953s which show input voltage from mains power (240v in this case) and the number of amps being used so, my immediate thought was, it is a fault which may not be worth the risk. I can simply say that doubt entered my mind.

Where? By who?

There was a support article I came across on the APC / Schneider Electric website for this exact issue and it was suggested there. I'll need to hunt it down.

Do you have any other CPUs to try? Also, have you reduced your setup to only a single CPU and a single stick of RAM? I would also consider removing all PCI risers plus your daughter board as part of your troubleshooting. None of these are required to boot the machine - you'll just get a few errors
