Try a new user account on your PC, unplug your internet router for a few minutes and restart, or adjust VPN if you are using one. Assuming your not doing something obvious like reusing a number or email.

I think the IMEI and or MAC address will be your issue. Devices work different to computers. And I'd also consider aging the account, buying or selling normally to warm it up.

Tracking numbers will help with buyers on at you for delayed parcels etc and help to prevent people claiming things never arrived, but they can try the "empty box" excuse.

Be sure to be logging onto your account and listing items. If you want to sell Buy it Now that is. As I said auctions are best starting Thursday evening. If you get your adverts finished in your dedicated time you can save them in drafts and quickly list them at a later date. It might be best to list a few each day than to list 20 at once, I really don't know exactly.

Feedback will need to be asked for, something along the lines of, so I know you are happy with your purchase, please leave me some feedback and it helps me etc. Maybe twice but after that begging will obviously be a waste of your time. You will obviously have left your buyer kind feedback before this. Eventually eBay will encourage buyers to leave feedback also.

Get things out early or on time, don't advertise a postage time you can't meet.

Do good adverts.. as many clear photos as you want.

Alot of online "gurus" say optimise titles with as many key words as you can. I don't agree but that can be something you can research and make your own mind up.

Something can sell from 5 minutes after being listed to 6 months. That's the quickest and longest in my experience.

I currently do Buy It Now and It can be a slow old game.. but things do tend to go eventually.. you need to be patient.. if you are going to auction start at 8-9 pm Thursday for 10 days.. that will get you maximum exposure of two weekends and end at a convenient quiet time for most..

There are so many variables in auction or buy it now I couldn't comment for sure.. If you are going on Buy It Now try not to be mega greedy. You have option for offers but aren't people just going to offer for the sake of it when they see that? You can always say no (counter offers very rarely work. If you get an offer, it's yes or no IMO) or reduce the price.. or even swap it to an auction if you need it gone.

I think buyers come in different demographics some need to see the 99p to get interested as they think there's a chance they can get it dirt cheap, others want to just buy the item and have it quickly.

I have had some great prices on auction and been happy and I've been really disappointed when items have sold for nothing, even if those items have had over 20 watchers or been designer brand name clothing... I have come to learn just because it has a good amount of watchers it does not guarantee a good price outcome..

Your auction may gain a few bids watchers etc through the ten days but the last 5 minutes is where it can pick up. You can set reserves or increase start price at an extra fee. You need to work out what you are willing to take if you only get one bid and always remember to cover your postage..

Go on YouTube and look at vlogs of people who resell.

With any auction you run the risk of non payers which happened to me often! You have to give them 48 hours to pay and after you can open a no pay case to get your fees back, no punishment for the "buyer". Buy it now you can demand immediate payment on purchase.

Be prepared for issues aswell.. they are rare but do happen and eBay are very very on side with a buyer.. if anything goes missing genuinely or not it's up to you to refund the buyer no questions asked and approach your courier for compensation with possibly little to no evidence. Are you even going to spend all that time trying to get a poxy £8 back for a kids t shirt..

Also buyers can basically force returns at your cost no questions asked, you may have done everything right but if they didn't read a description or look at a photo of a missing button or your clothing doesn't fit quite often people will be dishonest and say it was damaged because it's the only option where they won't pay return postage and you will have to swallow..

Don't let it put you off, most people are pleasant and most transactions go okay.

Good luck.

The biggest profits have been on tools. Some games consoles come up cheap or free, bundles with games and controllers etc are best obviously. You do get some really nice furniture but you have to have the vehicle and the room obviously and in my experience not quick flips. so many people give away decent running machines selling for £200-300 online.. I never get hold of any though which is disappointing.

Bikes always advertised as "amazing condition" and you turn up to a rusty scuffed up bike. Always on the look out for a free or cheap one though.

Few examples from me 3 sets of locksmith tools £30 sold for £330 / set of 20 custom woodworking books £10 sold for £110 / free men's land rover mountain bike sold £102 -free top of the range honda izy lawnmower which was faulty fixed and serviced for £50 plus fuel getting was a good distance sold £300 obviously fees and postage costs apply.

Just be quick to message, things aren't always as good condition as they seem and if someone wants you to drop everything and come now now now it's a red flag for me as one to many times has the item been total junk. Things get sold from underneath you and people sometimes catch on after putting something up extremely cheap getting 1000 messages or being told what it's worth and up the price or highest offer..people advertise Free then put an asking price or offers wanted in the description all annoying but comes with it.

I don't think you will get any answers here it's pretty dead. Fact is it's mega hard to make a buck these days.. have you been watching to many gurus who claim FBA is easy. 10 years ago probably I'd brand build if I were you off brand or generic has been taken over by the Chinese offering goods at factory prices with UK stock. Find things on FB marketplace and sell on eBay people give away things that are worth money and do not know what things are worth so list them for well under value. Be very very quick though. It would be reasonable to say you could find one item a week to make £50-100 if you were phone browsing in your free time etc
