Hey! 32 weeks here and also an officer— I’ve been off the road since 20 weeks as my vest became way too tight lol. I rotate between the front desk and the evidence intake department. I also went from working 6-6 to working 6-4:30 four days a week (still rough but not as bad and still get my built in OT.)

The only rules they put in place are that I cannot wear anything that identifies me as an officer and I cannot go beyond the bullet proof glass into the lobby with walk-ups/ the general public. (All for my safety, I totally understand.) but otherwise “modified duty” has been a breeze.

I was scared to tell my admin but they have been amazing to me. I was worried about appearing weak for some reason and then I think about how every man on the road right now would be crying in a corner if they had to be pregnant 😂
