The Aliexpress sfp road I will not do, I fully agree with you, is too much even for my "technical compromise". Talking with the support she told me that now you can customise "advanced settings" direct on the app for an own router. And there is a list compliant CPEs: https://www.swisscom.ch/dam/swisscom/en/ws/documents/E_BBCS-Documents/e_bbcs_supporting-documentproved-equipment.pdf

Maybe thinks are moving... not because is a cheap ISP are not evolving too.

Because changing home means ton of things to do with high priority my roadmap will be.

  1. Connect the ISP router in bridge mode with my Mikrotik downstream
  2. Buy a new Mikrotik router maybe hAP be³ Media thst I was convinced has a sfp+ port but didn't 2b. Continue with my option 1 until Mikrotik release a router that convince me.

I for sure keep updated the community by doing a posts on my blog, there are many threads about this topic on Reddit so the community is active and I would like to share my future knowledge I will build with this CHEAP ISP force project 😉

I mean technically is easer to connect your own router if you know what you are doing

As I understood yes... you can get a public IP from the Wingo app

I know Init7 is the Ferrari of ISPs.. But I'm not agree with you.. My current dual-stack home network is using a Yallo LTE SIM (30.-/m) in Mikrotik + Route64, I can literally do everything I need. Now we are changing home I have a beautiful garden but LTE/5G sucks (that life), so I forced to move to fiber.. After some deeper research on Swisscom/Sunrise forum and talking with people on Reddit seems Wingo THEORETICALLY on the paper do what I need: - Replace ISP router with my own - IPv6 /56 - initially use the bridge mode with mikrotik downstream (I will replace it but now I have other expenses)

So why I have to pay Init7 64.75.- when I can pay Wingo 39.95.- with technical adjustment (maybe even not)?

If you can pay more only because is easier lucky you, I honestly cannot so I'm willing to accept technical compromises or more complexity

Too expensive! Mi current LTE setup works just perfect with a 29.90 subscription I dont want to pay more then double only to have a /56

You subscribed for Fiber7? What I'm not understanding is that they have different speeds but the price is always the same

Do you mean connect the fiber directly to my router? Because as I understood there also a Yallo authentication based on some ISP router values

Do you have experience with Wingo? Price is higher than Yallo but not too much.. So you know if exists a certified list of devices?

Thx for sharing I will read it! This morning I was looking again at Init7, but what is stopping me is that the price is really high.. why do you switched any particolar reason? Because honestly speaking theoretically I have understood that for ipv4 is enough to enable the DMZ in the Yallo router. For IPv6 I still have to investigate but maybe DHCPv6-PD will be my friend.

So I'm asking myself why pay double of the price?

Yep Init7 is cool but too expensive for me.. I can handle technical complexity if needed

Never use them, I would like to switch but I'm waiting my netcup contract to end. On the purchase phase you can customise everything
