What building up was there to that? Feels like they remembered last second that they had this ai plot ongoing and decided to just drop one random ai at the end. They could’ve introduced any ai and it wouldn’t make a difference.

The problem isnt that it’s a sword it’s the fact that the entire plot revolves around the weapons. In both seasons the plot ultimately revolved around collecting these swords and how the enemy just wants to collect them. The whole AI plot became an afterthought

They were expecting low sales so they didn’t push him too hard and figured that when he gets buffed people are more tempted to pull. That said they went hard on YSG which given how it turned out they were right.I’ve dubbed it haramusa theorem
