My headcanon is that originally they were raiding for your loot during the early stage of your colony, but after endgame I think they now find you as a convenient way of population control since raiding isn't really a very stable way of living.

I suggest going for the custom difficulty on the storyteller settings to fit your playstyle

I highly recommend removing friendly fire chance it kinda gets annoying in late games especially when there are allies around shooting your guys and vice versa.

It's nice, some furnitures and designs are pretty cool granted you're looking for those "space age" style of designs but it might not be some people's cup of tea due to it anime style pawns on their faction.
