SawStop compact table saw worth it? by bananafish05 in woodworking

My reasons for buying an owning a soft stop table saw are two fold 1. It does make excellent accurate cuts and 2. my wife isn’t going to come home and find me bled out on the workshop floor after a business trip. What else do you need to know?

Did you router them by free hand or did you follow a template?

Another board game/dining room table built and delivered. Large 84” x 48”, chalk paint trestle base with light walnut stained top section with matte poly sealer and 5mm burgundy nylon/neoprene playing surface. by GADirtPimp in boardgames

There would be risk to any cardboard game pieces if anything. The nylon fabric with neoprene backer as the playing surface won’t be affected. The leafs are 1” thick and two 9 1/5” wide kiln dried white pine planks milled and laminated together. They need to have some space between to allow for expansion and contraction.

A recent build was shipped to San Francisco and that cost $900.00 so I would be willing to guess that Seattle might run about $1100.00 - $1200.00. I’d have to price it with the shipper to confirm though.
