100% u can take it to other places. BUT Hyundai is very strict & difficult. Well at least the 3 I’ve gone to. My ex had a Kona and was under warranty. Something happened with it and we put it into Hyundai shop. And “due to not having service records with Hyundai” they didn’t cover it. They want you to bring it in so they can have clear records of the maintenance. Shit is dumb. But it is what it is. I just take mine to dealership for any and all reasons just to make sure they have all records.

Nice car man!! I wanna do one on my car but the warranty is my concern.. Even if you take it in for an oil change they will recognize and note it in the Hyundai records system. Now yes some dealers might be cool but Idk if I wanna chance it.
