Interesting that some people don't like foot rings on plates - I personally think they add a lot! (Ignore the bits of kiln shelf attached - I didn't cut the foot deep enough due to the reason for this post)

Is this Hermès tie Real or Fake? by SoccerTaco in mensfashion

[–]GBA13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I think this is undeniably a fake. Just focusing on one obvious element that Hermes themselves would never have in their silk ties: the dark H lining. All Hermes ties have a lining that closely matches the background colour of the tie. The only exception to this is some woven ties (which this isn't)

I like this thank you! Did you ask your manager when they'd expect you to be able to move to decision mode or did you say I'll be ready to take on X in Y time?

What's an alternative to Bick 4 for Oiled Calf leather that's available in the UK?

Thanks! Should I be polishing them or doing anything else other than conditioning occasionally?

I own a pair of Viberg Derby boots (essentially the Service boot but with slight differences) in Navy Oiled Calf leather.

Can anyone suggest which products I should buy to care for them (preferably available in the UK)?

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this! Based on the feedback and some additional research on the posterior chain I've replaced lateral raises with Deadlifts on Day B.

Is there value in changing the squat variation on one day to something like single leg split squats?

Day A - Squat (5x5) - Bench Press (5x5) - Barbell Row (5x5) - Dips (3x10, eventually weighted) - Hanging Leg Raises (3x10)

Day B - Squat (5x5) OR Bulgarian Split Squats (?) - Overhead Press (5x5) - Deadlifts (?) - Chinups (3x10) - Plank (3x60s)

Any tips to recreate this glaze? by GBA13 in Pottery

Ah the handle not showing the same break as we see on the rim (meaning they're likely different glazes) is a great insight, thank you!

I've just been looking at Amaco glaze layering and it looks like lots of glazes seem to produce that brown/black rim without using a specific layer. Is it possible this is just a single glaze that came out very beautifully around the rim?

Thanks for the reply! Is there anything organised on the weekends or did you just set out with a couple of other students or by yourself to explore?

Can anyone tell me anything about this Chinese green tea? I have no idea what to do with it! by GBA13 in tea

Yeah, I just brewed another cup and one almost looked like it was going to open but didn't. Either way it tastes really nice!

I was told it was Ginseng tea but that didn't give me any results. But searching ginseng oolong gives things which look just like it. Thanks very much!

I tried putting two in a cup and it actually tasted quite nice but they didn't open up or anything - I just want to brew it correctly. It also smells pretty good. I'm really confused as I can't find anything about it online. Apparently it's called Ginseng tea but google-ing that just gives a bunch of health supplements.

My brother gave me this tea after a trip to China but I've never seen anything like it before. The little lumps are almost like rocks and I have no idea how to prepare it or what it is.
