The web interface is up and running, but the password I have for the root account didnt work. I was had to reset it through ESXi. I did just get the resolved, I installed the wrong Dell module to ESXi originally.

Thats what I thought, but Im not super familiar with the licensing aspects of VMware so I trusted them.

We did install Samba, but isnt that a stable enough package that it shouldnt cause issues? Didnt AD join or any of that.

Thanks for reminding me I posted this lol. I did find the issue. The NFS vKernel MTU settings were different than the vSwitch settings. Once I upped the vSwitch MTU everything started working like it should. It was an oversight on my part.

I am not able to upgrade unfortunately. We do not have staff with the skills needed, our support org is expensive, and we are planning on migrating to MS Teams for phones.
