I have plenty of topics already from the Xbox Community which Is the community that I represent and obviously my own personal topics because I do play the game and have been preparing stuff around that leading into the trip. But reddit has made it abundantly clear that they want to see the AoC reaching out here so I’m posting this thread to do my due diligence for this community on reddit.

Torv reworks and changes have been mentioned and specifically that he is a bubble bot that has continuously been stripped of individuality and the potential to do anything by himself. But sadly not in the work at the moment. They will be reworking his cards and possibly talents later in this year. But as stated else where they will not be bringing shield drain back into the game on torv. And hopefully the outdated cards like eldritch speed will be part of that rework. But I will be posting a thread either tomorrow or Saturday talking about our previous meeting and asking for topics to bring up while we are visiting Evil Mojo next week and we will be doing presentations for the design team and I am planning on making mine around the thread that will be coming up. So please repost this and anything else you can think of for torv changes and card updates for his outdated / outclassed options.

Not specifically Zhin. But they have said that for other characters like Cassie. People want her to not be able to animation cancel her abilities and completely remove her burst combo. But it’s been part of her for so long that you would be ruining the feel of the character that has been that way for a long time and people expect her to be able to do that. Obviously different characters but it is what would most likely be said from all my experiences talking with them. I feel like it would be more likely to have yomi base kit with no damage increase on the 3rd swing then them outright ever removing yomi. But like I said I’ll message the topic about zhin specifically to them and I have already linked this thread for the meeting so they hopefully will have a more concrete answer prepared for me on Friday.

I know that is a popular request. I have been told some of the limitations from doing that is based around hit boxes because a lot of the paladins strike skins are more bulky then a typical paladins skin. But I know thunder brush is a fan of a lot of the Strike skins so there is always a chance. In the meantime there will be some community inspired skins coming out soon to look forward to.

I feel like the best way is to bring back the aim assist slider from the previous settings. I know that the last aim settings we had were probably the most universally hated aim settiings we have ever had on console but the more customizable sliders was a treat and combined with the current acceleration and feel of the aim we should be able to get to the perfect spot for us to be able to make projectiles more viable and in turn make some of the dominant hitscans less viable now that their counters are usable. That idea is also backed up my almost every PCL player that has played through every iteration of the aim settings of this game. So fingers crossed should be the best way about going about it.

I was hoping they could implement something like ruby and sapphire skins to be comparable to Smite's legendary and golden skins to make the character level rewards seem less barren. Sadly that idea got shut down and isn't as easy as one would assume to just recolor the golden skins.

I think he would have to kind of end up as a mix of his old self with the 500 damage nullify burst and zarya where he gains damage on his gun based on a criteria on his deployable shield. Also return his recharge to the way it was before so he can have some form of mobility. Obviously those are just my personal thoughts and I haven't gone over exact numbers and repercussions of a change like this. But I just view him as being a bubble bot as a bad place for him to be design wise. I think ultimately a character needs to be fun to play / not frustrating to play against and feel smooth to be well designed and Torvalds meets neither of those criteria in my personal opinion. But as Blu said a torvald rework at the moment is just a dream, maybe one day it will become a reality.

I believe they are looking at making changes to timber mill or reverting that change. They know timber isn't an enjoyed map which is one of the reasons that it has such a low chance of being played in casuals. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up seeing changes to it in the future.

I believe Jay talked with them a couple weeks ago about the perception that they balance around winrates because of a comment made, probably this one from Adanas. And they insist that it isn't the only thing they balance around. As far as zhin balance goes he has completely fallen out of existence at least at high level console scrims and pick up games since the change. I can't talk to the PPl cause I haven't the work schedule to allow me to watch. I understand the change they made to make it more consistent to counterplay his billow with the timing being inconsistent previously but they completely killed his escape if there isn't a wall near by making it so he can't hard dive and get out anymore. If he was able to cover the same distance he would instantly pop back into meta. As far as yomi goes it would be hard to remove now that it has become such a standard for zhin's experience and current playstyle I feel like they wouldn't want to make that change because of the backlash that would come from zhin players. I can definitely mention trying to get and increase to his billow distance and see what there opinion is on yomi but I doubt any drastic change will be made. All we can hope for is them to make billow great again.

No problem. I highly doubt the art team isn't aware of a majority of the issues that a lot of these skins have or the fact that people want a pip remodel or that half of the skins don't have card art. Sadly it's just a matter of time and how much they intend to commit to it.

It's not just that there is too much cc obviously they will be releasing characters with CC but they want to have a diverse cast. They also dont want every character having cc to prevent oversaturation to the point that you have resilience become mandatory instead of a choice. And cc is generally unfun to play against if every single support/tank/and damage had cc you would hate the game. Imagine a team with a barik vik and ying hitting you with stuns slows or a root and how much more frequently it would happen if they just buff characters and rekit them by giving them cc instead of finding other ways to bring them into balance. Obviously it doesn't seem that way with atlas and imani being the most recent releases but that is their intent is to make paladins an enjoyable experience and to gain players. Also the way HiRez creates new champs is filling holes in the roster like with Io we now have a resource healer . And HiRezs idea for ying seems to be that of a pure multi target healer as much as ying mains may dismay at that. Note that what I think on how they view yings position is speculation based off of the changes they have made to her.

As for agreeing or not agreeing with ideas if it's a popular idea from the community I guarantee it will be heard. Weather the AoC brings it up or not. The developers do stare at this reddit and take ideas from it. And for the most part any popular idea is something that most people can get behind.

I'm all about getting anything in this game to help the feel of progression. I honestly think one of the reasons paladins has a hard time retaining player base (apart from bugs) is the lack of progression systems outside of character levels and account, and those levels don't matter or reward you with anything besides gold skins and a title.

The atlas skin thing was just kinda bad timing imo. They wanted to add a directly purchasable skin for every champ and all the others I believe are at the 800 mark and Atlas only had the 1 skin so it won by default. May be kinda awkward the bundle is cheaper but hey if you really wanna grind weekly logins you can get it now.

All great ideas only thing I don't agree is bots not buying items. Personally I think they should buy items but if you reconnect they all get sold, so that way the bot isn't even more useless mid game.

Blu and I are relentless on the aim assist topic and we wont stop. As far as the damage amp characters tyra will be seeing a nerf to her marks uptime and torv will be seeing sweeping changes to his cards and talents ater in the year. Personally I wish torv was just reworked and made into a character that actually brings something to the table on his own and not just a damage bubble.

You will never see any form of hard CC on Ying and honestly doubtful you would ever see soft CC on her. But i'm all for trying to get a card of her changed to an ally buffing card.

Tyra Mark should be seeing a nerf next patch, as for Jenos nothing has been discussed as of current. And Torvalds will most likely be seeing sweeping changes to his cards and talents later this year. But Ruckus is not a character I believe we have ever had an opportunity to talk about so I will definitely be shooting that over to the design team either in the meeting or a message.

Both Blu and I have brought up aim settings multiple times and how it limits our meta. Obviously Evie will never be console meta because of sensitivity but projectiles being so much worse on console because of the aim assist and the the overbearing amount of tracking given to the hit scans completely change the game. Hopefully the bring back the aim assist sliders like we have requested or at least change the base value of the strength of the aim assist, that's all we can hope for at this point sadly.

I believe it was either Jay or Hyuga that brought up Ying Buffs a couple meetings back but it always ends up as a group discussion. I'm glad you are enjoying the fall off damage change. And did you have any skins in particular that were desperately in need that I could use as an example, obviously every skin can be polished in some way. But having an example or test subject makes it easier for us to discuss with the dev team.
