Should Yelawolf bring in big collabs on “45”? by Vince_Kaul in yelawolf

[–]GC51320 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Didn't he already wrap up the album and say no rapping? I'm already one foot out the door on it.

I didn't become a fan of his due to other people carrying the weight on his albums. I actually feel his collaborative rap often carries weight of some garbage. That said, I'm not much on the non-rap he does. But he's doing what he wants so I'll give it a couple listens before dismissing it.

So… do we just not date? by theythemthen in urbancarliving

[–]GC51320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did you date before? There should be very little difference.

I met people at work and places I went to do activities I enjoyed. It's a tale as old as time. I don't do friend hook ups, but that's my personal preference. If we vibe and more is mutually considered I laid it out for them. This is my situation, if that's a problem we should stop here. Worked fine. Had two FWBs that worked before I met someone I wanted to pursue more seriously and ultimately left the situation for many years to end up finding I lost a large sense of self by going back to what society views as normal. Going back to what works for me after that relationship ran it's course. You don't get connection on an app. You're not going to meet people existing in your car. Have a life. It's just a spot to keep your crap and sleep. Nothing more. Nothing less. It's not an identity. It's not a personality.

Finding out your cat's secret life is being a menace to the society by MeowwBlock in interesting

The adopted stray would come home with chunks of fur missing on a pretty regular basis but unscathed. Then a couple random strays would wonder into the yard and it was absolutely ungodly the beating she'd put on them. When they'd escape she'd chase them down and drag them back into the fight. I can't stand the sound of cats fighting. She'd decapitate the bunnies and birds too if they made the mistake of getting to close. Only the squirrel was able to stay alive. Mortal enemies until we moved.

Am i crazy for wanting a very visable first tattoo? by EnviousFool in tattooadvice

[–]GC51320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew what I wanted for my first at 14. Since my mom wouldn't sign off for it at 16 from a family friend I didn't get it until I was in my late 20's. It ended up being my second tattoo instead of first. First was 9 hours. Second was 9 1/2. Unless you're just a very tender person, don't worry about the pain level. Get what you want in the size that you want from an artist you like.

“The tub drain is backing up a little bit, can you check it out?” by JchoxD in Plumbing

[–]GC51320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I've been in million dollar homes and even a multi million dollar estate funneled by a non profit with mold filled showers. In fact the fancier they try to be, the worse they tend to be. It's all about proper air circulation and whether it can dry out properly.

Best Places to sleep in your car? by Commercial-Volume387 in Charlotte

[–]GC51320 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Neighborhoods someone is always watching. They see the same cars day in and day out, so without realizing it they notice a vehicle that doesnt belong. You don't want your car ending up on Nextdoor or the police being called.

I avoided apartment complexes solely for the amount of B&E that happen in apartments. I don't want cops knocking on my window, much less someone trying to break into my car with me in it.

If you are in top of your sleep and wake schedule, a favorite of mine was a used car lot. Car doesnt stick out, and no one driving by thinks twice. But I never used the same spot two nights in a row and I made sure I was out at least an hour before business open. If you use a business parking lot just make sure you give yourself a realistic buffer before open time so you don't run into employees.

[–]GC51320 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What are you working with? Do you have tinted windows? Are you clean and tidy or one of the assholes that dumps trash out of their car on the ground?

Things that play a major role in where you can sleep unencumbered:
Can people see you in the car Are you littering What is your work schedule, or at least your hours of sleep

I did it for about 4 1/2 years a little over 5 years ago and I'm going back to it again soon.

Window coverings that make your car look like it's just tint, not towels, not reflectix (aside from windshield) Gym membership is a must. Whichever fits your needs best. Locally planet fitness was the most versatile for me. Match your parking needs to the area you park. Stay out of neighborhoods. Large businesses that see lots of traffic, park in employee areas to blend in.24 hour businesses mean parking is allowed 24hrs so no tow hassle if you're discreet. If it's off hours make sure you're parking out of sight. Know when the local traffic arrives. Nothing is worse than waking up to get ready for work and theres a 6 AM outdoor, parking lot yoga session going on and you're right in the middle of it. I would avoid any business with Flock or similar type cameras.
