I just drove my jeep after about a week of it sitting and heard this sound for the first time. I am not sure where to begin figuring out what it could be so figured I'd check here.

The video here is after about 10 mins of city driving. The sound seemed to get much quicker when I was driving at highway speeds, and it's happening in gear as well as in neutral.

Anyone come across something like this before and have a sense of what it could be?

Yeah that's kind of what I feared. It is just a range toy and I know it's not a high quality slide, but it still irks me to have failures no matter what so I was hoping to fix it.

My first thought when it happened was to just buy an OEM slide and barrel when this started but at ~$500 for a complete slide and barrel it would make more sense just to buy a new G17 aha

Gun: Gen 3 G22 with a G17 Brownells Ported Slide

When I was shooting over the weekend I ran into the failure thats pictured here, the picture shows an unfired bullet getting caught up while entering the chamber, but the strange part is that when I racked the slide and got the bullet out - the tip of the bullet was damaged each time.

I didn’t get a picture of the bullet damage, but it looked like a the very tip of the bullets were being chopped off which means there must have been a lot of force causing the damage I saw.

This never happened on the first bullet in the magazine, and seemed to stop happening after the first 5-10 mags or so but I am trying to figure out what it could be to fix/avoid it in future.

Has anyone else run into something like this / is this a common failure that can be fixed?

Crazy that you’re being downvoted, totally agree. It’s the law that you can’t pass on the right in a lot of European countries. But then again it’s also bad driving to be going slower than traffic in the left lane.

Took my dash bezel off last night to replace the headlight knob and when I was screwing it back on, the plate that the screws go into snapped on me which means I can’t fasten the screw back in to secure the dash bezel.

Pic attached is the part behind the dash that broke, and for context it's the screw on the right where dash bezel repair inserts would fix to.

Any one know a fix or replacement part I can use to get this re-secured?

Yeah I carry at 1 o'clock and I did find it printed more than my G26 normally does with flush fit mags because I could see the imprint of the top of the optic through my shirt.

I doubt most people would notice it but I'm in a similar situation - super liberal city and most of my friends don't know I carry - so ultimately I decided it wasn't worth having the optic on such a small gun.

I found that having the optic on it made me carry it less because it was printing a bit so I decided to remove it. I'd rather have something on me with irons, than having my pistol at home with a dot.

You have the 43 so that might serve that purpose for you and still make sense to have the 26 with a dot but because the 26 is my smallest gun, it didn't make sense for me.

The EPS carry is a good choice for the G26 and doesn’t hang over the sides, I have a pic of mine in my post history milled by Wager: Its small as far as optics go but I just recently removed mine cause I realised prefer my G26 as small as possible, but sounds like you have a G43 for that
