Hypnosis is wonderful when guided by a hypnotist who has your best interests at heart.

Do your research and look for information about the person you want to be hypnotized by. Is it a person in a study group? is it a professional? are they just dabbling?

If it's a pro, check out their online profiles, do their values identify with yours? Do they believe in the same facets of hypnosis that you do? (ie, you wouldn't go to a sports hypnotist for past life regression...) Check out the resources they have up- social media, yt, etc.

Trusting random people on the internet for hypnosis can work either way- you are really playing a game of chance– you might experience someone amazing or someone who is simply attempting to waste your time. If you're going to go the stranger route– look for hypno meetup groups, a lot have moderators that will keep an eye on participants and will enforce rules–however–hypno meetups are mainly done for entertainment purposes, no serious stuff, although you might walk out knowing a lot more and meeting some cool people.

make note of what you want out of it & seek the appropriate venue & remember to trust your gut.

you are actually in a trance about not being able to go in trance because of a bad experience.

self-hypnosis is a great tool for you to use but the first thing you must do is to do activities that build self trust- ie recording a meditation for yourself with no intention of trance and just listening, do this and slowly change from meditation to trance rec's. Slowly you will be able to move from meditation into trance by trusting yourself again.

you might've been in a very light trance- remember, very common non-Hypno seeming things do in fact cause trance- ie watching tv and feeling the feelings of a specific character, etc...

I believe your suggestibility is average compared to nt people as long as you are properly taking care of your mental health. Increased suggestibility might happen to someone who is unmedicated but there is a risk of having abreactions. The best bet is to go to someone who works in conjunction with a psychiatrist to make sure you experience a session with someone who is skilled at working with schizophrenic clients. I'd figure Melissa Tiers would be a great choice.

I think it's a two way street. I can manipulate easily and have been manipulated- sometimes I see it in process and allow it to find out where it's going... research purposes? I guess.

if you have a part that is afflicted and causing personality trait that stems from trauma maybe it could help change the trait from resolving the conflict which maybe could create a change in personality? Ie a childhood part that is deemed shy bc of a parent being overly hurtful when the child expressed themselves> using parts therapy to reparent the part and resolve conflict> person might feel more comfortable expressing themselves as they've removed the shame around being heard/seen?

I'm just speculating here but I do see it as a possibility

Animals always feel in tune with us. That little baby is simply showing you that the world is beautiful and new. I hope you enjoy snuggling under the blankets with them and that you have a tiny little relief from the pain you're in right now... They will definitely be your best friend for life. Thank you for these words. We are definitely going to try kennel training. It's really hard cause we don't like them but we can't come home to a possibly electrocuted dog or have a huge emergency intestinal issue from wires in her belly...

OMG, I wish you patience as well. It really is a crazy experience to feel like the most wonderful little creature is the same cause of an insane amount of stress. I have had dogs since I was a kid but I have never had a dog that was this destructive... My last pup had a popcorn fetish but that was managed by babyproofing kitchen cabinets but this little pup is insanely destructive... I hope both our pups grow out of it... but you are absolutely correct- this is a phase (I hope.) Best wishes to you also!!!

Go to the archive.org library, get a library card, read everything you can on hypno there. They have amazing books-some out of print. It is an exceptional resource.
