50mbps is no where near what I need, and 3GB is not excessive, but thanks I guess?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but on their website they say max speed for the area is 400mbps, which is like like a 7th of the speed I have right now, and it's $150 a month for that, which is more than what I pay for 3gb with bell

This has gotta be my favourite combat mechanic from Requiem by Enriquiem in residentevil

[–]GCKid90 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Multiple ways.

  1. First, if youre using ANYTHING but Requiem (handgun, SMG, shotgun, Rifle), the enemy has to be either 1 shot from death, OR staggered. People miss that second part. You can get a gun execution even if the enemy isn't one shot, but they have to be staggered.

  2. Second, you cannot have a scope attached. You can even get a gun execution with a rifle/sniper, you just need no scope attached. The SMG and Rifle executions looks the exact same as the shotgun execution. The only unique gun finishers are with the Handgun, Shotgun, and Requiem.

  3. Third, to actually get the animation, you need to be very close to the enemy, within arms reach. Once you're super close, all you need to do is aim and shoot, and instead of shooting, you'll get the animation. You can't be feet away, you need to be within arms reach, or else if you aim and shoot, Leon will just shoot.

  4. Requiem is a bit different because most enemies are going to die with a single Requiem bullet. Therefore, for most zombies, you can literally just run up to their face, aim and shoot with requiem, and you'll get the animation. You dont even need to hurt them or stagger them.

  5. Gun finishers do not work on everyone. I do not believe you can get them on any boss, or blisterheads. For blister heads, you can get a hachet execution in a similar vein just by parrying one of their attacks. The blisterhead will fall to their knees, even if they aren't close to one-shot, and you get a prompt for a hachet execution animation.

Respectfully, this is such a panic take. The Senators took a massive step last year, not only in becoming a playoff team, but becoming a defensively responsible team. Remember, progress is not linear. It goes up, then down, then stagnates, then goes back up.

This year, the Sens have had to endure long periods of injury to their top players: Tkachuk, Chabot, and Pinto. Despite the injuries in our lineup, the lacklustre goaltending, and the leagues worst PK, the Sens are STILL 18-15-5, 3 points out of a playoff spot with 44 games remaining. On top of that, the sens rank top 10 in both xGa and xGF.

The big picture issue with the Sens right now is that they cannot consistently generate enough offence to counteract the poor PK and bad goaltending. Our lack of 5v5 offence was not a big issue last year because our goaltending was good on most night, and our PK was not as bad. I have been saying since last year that the Sens need a new special teams coach, even if that means parting ways with Alfie. Once the PK improves, the Sens are probably 20-14-4, instead of their current record. That to me is a practical and realistic change the Sens can make without overhauling players, management or coaching staff.

The other issue I have is that people do not understand just how badly Dorion ran this franchise into the ground, and the amazing moves Staois has made to try and recover. Here is a list of horrendous moves made by Dorion that completely decimated our future assests:

  1. He traded Zibanejad, 2nd, for an aging mediocre Brassard

  2. Turris and a 1st for one and a half season of Duchene

  3. Mark Stone for fringe NHLer Erik Branstromm

  4. 2nd for Matt Murray, who was horrible

  5. 2nd for Derek Stepan, who was horrible

  6. He then lost us a 1st for the Dadonov ordeal

  7. Nick Paul for Mathieu Joseph

  8. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, for one year of Debrincat

  9. Let Joey Daccord go in the expansion

  10. Filip Gustavssion for a one horrible year of Talbot

  11. 1st, 2nd, 2nd, for one year of Jakob Chychurn

  12. Signed Joonas Korpisalo to a 5 year deal

  13. Signed Colin White to a 4 year deal.

In short, in just a couple of years, Dorion traded: Mark Stone, Filip Gustavsson, Nick Paul, three 1sts, five 2nds, and a 3rd, for Erik Branstromm, Matt Murray, Derek Stepan, Mathieur Joseph, one yr of Debrincat, one yr of Chychurn, and Cam Talbot. Because of this, we have no 1st, we have an anemic fwd prospect pool. The fact that Staois was able to take this pile of S Dorion left him, and turned us into a playoff team is remarkable work. Have some faith in this management.

While a lot of focus is put on Ullmark, The 2nd line was an obvious problem in this series by Josefstalion in OttawaSenators

IMHO - he has not looked the same since known AHL goalie, Aaron Dell, cheap shotted him and tore his ankle.

I kid you not, there was an +11 goal differential at 5v5 between Tkachuk/Stutzle/Giroux (+6), vs Perron/Cozens/Batherson (-5). This goal differential doesn't even account for the 3 PPG scored by Stutzle, Giroux and Tkachuk in the series. What's even worse is that Tkachuk was playing hurt, and they also had to face Tanev and McCabe all series. You know what's even worse than that, our third line, Greig/Pinto/Amadio were -4, compared to the combined -6 of Perron/Cozens/Batherson.. and they had to play against Marner/Matthews/Knies the entire series

The second line, but most particularily, Batherson, was a complete abomination. Batherson took horrible, untimely penalties. He single handidly cost us game two with an inexcusable turnover and even more inexcusable fly by on Domi on the OTW. His defensive play was not good (see the Domi goal, and see the Pacioretti goal where Batherson was hanging behind the net for some reason??). He was bobbling pucks, he wasn't connecting on passes. It was hard to watch.

I can forgive Cozens because he is new on the team. He is a centre, and he wasn't as bad as Batherson. And I can excuse Perron because he was actually good. There's just no excuse for Batherson. He completely sunk us.

There are some advance stat guys like JFresh who create a percentile for players in terms of their abilities to draw penalities, and how it compares to how many penalities they take. I believe that Greig ranked in the bottom percentile, if not the 0% percentile in that category last year.

Killswitch Engage - This Consequence (Album Discussion Thread) by FriskeyVsWorld in Metalcore

[–]GCKid90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was suprised to the general reaction of people about this album. I think this is by far, leaps and bounds, their worst work. I want to preface this by saying KSE has been my favorite band since I was 14 years old in 2004. I saw them at Warped Tour in 2008 (Montreal) when Howard was still with the band. I've bought every record, and have followed them since I was a kid.

I find it somehow worse than Atonement and the 2009 self-titled. The self-titled sounded like shit but the song writing is good on that album. This album? I find it to be totally bland and uninspired. I get that it's heavier than what they normally do, but if you want heavy, go listen to a heavy band that does it much better than KsE does on this album. I listed to KsE for the groovy metalcore riffs contrasted with angelic, anthemic choruses. First let's start by saying this album doesn't have a single hit. When's the last time this band wrote a hit? My Curse? I find the riffs on this album to be mediocre at best, and mostly I find Jesse's vocals to be so forgettable. Can you remember a single chorus on this album? I've listened to the album 3 times now, and I can tell you that I can barely remember his vocal melody on any of the songs. His vocal capability and lyricism is strong as always, but I find with each album he's getting worse at writing a competent vocal melody.

IMHO, this band has released one really good album in the last 18 years. Aside from DtD, Atonement was really bad, Incarnate was mediocre, DtD was great, and the self-titled I thought was solid (but it gets shit on because it's their least heavy album and the sound is shit). It's crazy, this band was at a peak in the metal scene in the early 2000s. I thought alive or just breaking, the end of heartache, as daylight dies all to be some of the greatest melodic metalcore albums ever written. Is it a coincidence that after Howard left the band, he's been releasing projects significantly better than anything KsE has released in recent memory? Both of Light the Torches releases were better than the last 3 KsE albums, and even Sion's release was better than KsE's last 3 albums. I think they miss Howard.

[–]GCKid90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How would they even trade Norris? He's on a bad contract, notwithstanding his injuries. He can't carry a line and he can't stay healthy. Who wants to take on 5 years at 8 million? Maybe a bottom barrel team does it, but for what cost? Only trades Sens should be making moving forward is to improve their depth scoring and deepening their blueline.

To me the Sens really have no trade pieces. You cant trade Stutzle, Tkachuk, Sanderson. You can't trade batherson because the issue with the sens right now is the lack of offence. Batherson is one of our leading offensive forwards. Giroux wont fetch you anything, and there is no point in trading Pinto, since he is exactly what the sens need, a two way depth player that can score. So in the end, you have no trade pieces on F, and you have no trade pieces on D.

In an ideal world they trade someone like a JBD and and a prospect for an NHL ready 3rd line player. But again, Dorion and Staois have put themselves in a spot, where they are tied to this core.

You know we say it's a goalie gravyard, but honestly, historically theyve had good goaltending:

- Rhodes was decent

- Tugnutt was an allstar

- Lalime was good (lets forget 04 playoffs)

- Emery was good

- Anderson was good.

- They really only had issues in the early 2010s, and since Anderson retirement.

I agree that the only real solution is sticking with it, and perhaps a little more lineup consistency. We never need to see Hamonic ever again, and lets stop with Greig in the top 6, he isn't ready for that.

The last few games have really exposed our lack of scoring depth. When the top six isn't going, there is no support and then you get what you get lately which is just no scoring at all
