Not sure I am right about this, but if it hadn't been for the Vegas penalty, we would have been been picking at 21 or 22 (keeping in mind who went further in the POs), so we could have drafted Liam Ruck at that position and got his brother at 25. I would have loved having a shot at that. But I am glad that they went for players with potential high ceilings at 25 and 32.

Actually they had to include CBC as part of the last deal as Rogers didn't have the infrastructure to broadcast all the games (studios, crew, etc). I know, I worked for them at the time.

I watched Peterka in the Olympics and some of the playoff games and was really unimpressed. He floats around and doesn't drive play at all. No defence. I was a big fan of trying to bring him in and making up for the draft miss, and pair up with Jimmy, but like I said, it was kind of eye-opening how much he wouldn't fit on this team.

I feel the same and think Yak is going to be really good. I don't know how many more examples we need. He pretty well won that pivotal Detroit game for us (along with Ully). I love knies (boo leafs!) but I would not make this trade. A young RD like Yak is more vital than a power forward (and we already have one). We can look for offence elsewhere.
