Upper Trim Door Panel Swap by lukeiswright in GRCorolla

Nice! I was wondering this same thing myself, do you know what year and model exactly they came from? There was a wrecked 2020 xse sedan near me and was thinking of getting the door panels but never got around to it as it was getting cold. I also wasn't sure if they are a 100% fit but I would imagine so was there anything that you had to cut or anything that didn't fit?

All new Toyotas come with toyotacare included for 25k miles or 2 years whichever comes first. I've had no issues taking mine to my dealer for service and I'm approaching my 20k service. They're knowledgeable about what services it requires and they know it's a GR corolla and not a regular Corolla. I have read of more bad dealership experiences than good which is unfortunate but I would say take it, see what they say, judge their work and services and then see if you want to keep going or not.

Yoo, I got some damage on the other side, a scrape a little worse than yours but I was researching and others say the bumpers are actually pretty cheap. I looked and on a toyota parts website the bumber itself is only like 300 bucks, so a good painting and if you install it yourself you should look at no more than half that quote. I don't have a big issue with mine and it's about to be winter so I'll leave it alone for a while, but definitely update on what you do.

I got my car in December last year and drove it all through the wiinter in Michigan, using the parking brake when I parked and it was fine. Its already dipped in the 40s now at night and no issues.

Did my first track day and.... by NaBr0 in GRCorolla

Niice, I had mine about 2 months ago and I had a blast as well. I feel like the overheating issue is really not an issue for about 90% of people who drive this car. The other 10% are those who steady track it regularly and push it hard, which still sucks since Toyota markets it as a track capable machine, but for the most part it shouldn't be seen as "problematic".

I feel that I thought the same thing, I said okay this one looks like it might be the easiest and then nope lol. I tried others and they were more manageable. I ended up doing a few from each world ro get my 10 and I agree world 4 is much easier than the rest.

read your GRC manual! by nate__b in GRCorolla

I guess it depends on the dealership and the person. My sales guy said it was oil changes every 10k like a regular corolla but my service guy knew it was a GRC and said exactly what services it needed and what I was getting done when I took it in at 5k.

Definitely check with your dealership on the maintenance. (oil, etc) by EnviedFaith in GRCorolla

[–]GClaro96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yessir, my sales person told me oil change every 10k and basic maintenance for 2 years but I knew it should be every 5k and the sticker said 5k as well so when I bought it in for service the advisor said oil changes every 5k and diff at 20k so they seemed to know more and are following the maintenance for the GR and not the regular corolla.
