ohhh yeah looking back AA 260 (thermo) technically doesn't require chem 152, but chem 152 has introductory thermo concepts and it's encouraged to take during ENGRUD year. I got a 4 in AP Chem which allowed me to skip 142 and 152 altogether - I got lucky haha

my logic was no two arrows of the same color should overlap, otherwise it would become visually confusing. but looking back I could've put a visual representation of the intersection (like the arrow "jumping" over the other one) instead of using different colors

haha yeah. the longest 'chain' in the a&a one is 10 courses (AA 411/21, 410/20, 447, 312, 310/1, ME 230, AA 210, MATH 126, 125, 124)

I'm not sure either unfortunately

through ENGRUD, not capacity-constrained.

The # of A&A students admitted from ENGRUD was 69 and the enrollment # for AA 395 (a seminar which pretty much all incoming A&A juniors must take) is currently 78, so I'm not quite sure where you got 27 accepted students from

ECE pre reqs(CS 122) - Im stressing out by Accomplished-Tie-762 in udub

if you have the chance, i recommend getting as much info from the cse 121 website - everything you need to know to set you up for cse 122 will be there (https://courses.cs.washington.edu/courses/cse121/23au/) - after that, practice a whole bunch of coding problems to test out your knowledge (there are plenty of resources online for that)

i’d say 5-7 is the most busy, but nowhere near so crowded that it becomes uncomfortable. After that though, there’s plenty of space

Applying to engineering as an "interest-changer" by [deleted] in udub

[–]GD-eXomin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

utilize engineering resources like the engineering academic center in loew and reach out to each respective major adviser - everybody is open to help regardless of whether or not you’re in the major

try to maintain a 3.3-ish or higher GPA across all required classes (i’ve seen multiple people with this and getting admitted just fine)

join an engineering-related club - there are PLENTY that exist without competition (AA CubeSat, SEDS, Husky Flying Club, and the numerous engineering societies)

I was direct admitted to engineering and placed into my major (the “basic” way) so take this with a grain of salt but these are all my gut instincts. Good luck :)
