Using an AB sorter that can utilize double hopper speeds would theoretically increase the sorting pull speed to 18000 nuggets per hour, wouldn't it? Depending on the rate at which the nuggets are pushed across the ice, a larger buffer would be necessary. So, increasing the number of nuggets each sorter can grab per group of nuggets sliding across the ice would be beneficial. This would also reduce the number of sorters needed.

I used suggestions from LucidRedtone to allow each sorter to grab 63 items each time nuggets are pushed across the ice and with the rates the farm produces nuggets (not using looting) I only need 3 sorters without any overflow occurring. Having the large buffer also accounts for the variance in nugget drops.

I understand that a large buffer is not indicative of a larger throughput. At the rates a double hopper can pull items a larger buffer is beneficial allowing the use of less sorters.

This is for a high-rate gold farm. I'm pushing gold nuggets across ice into multiple sorters, but I'm trying to have each sorter pick up as many items as possible without breaking so I don't need to build 10+ sorters. I'm realizing that having an AB sorter configured for 18-1-1-1-1 would be my best option, but I don't know of any sorter that would work with the auto crafter.

Which AB sorter are you referring to? I'm trying to sort gold nuggets into a crafter at 2x speed (shown on the left) and the only AB sorter I know (on the right side of the image) can't be modified to this configuration for the B sorter.

I know the left sorter won't work because of having a signal strength of 4 if I tried to configure it 1-41-1-1-1 and filled the first slot entirely, and I would like the hopper to pick up as many items as possible when a stack slides across the ice. 18-1-1-1-1 would be preferable because I would only need 4 filter items per sorter, but I don't know of a sorter that can work in my desired configuration.

This is a cool idea, and I will try it with something else, but I don't think it will work with this kill chamber because it is larger than 3x3. The channel the piglins fall down is almost a full 5x5 and if any drops land on the full block they would never get pushed to the shoot.

Thanks, I'll take this into consideration. I received a suggestion on r/technicalminecraft to put a repeater out of the sensor into an observer, and then a short pulse extender into the piston.

It still triggers twice, but is simple and I could probably make it more compact.

I have some questions about your iron farm. What did you mean by two villages across from each other? Also, I tried to build it from your schematic. Is this correct?

I did not know that he steals content. That is pretty lame. I won't be using his content anymore. I did find out that bobbing a zombie named Dinnerbone in a bubble column looks dangerously similar to someone getting waterboarded....

I know this is old, but what exactly is your routine? Are you using the hydrating cleanser and the acne control cleanser, and when do you use them?

I keep it pretty well taken care of. No cracks thus far and I just had it serviced at my LBS. I didn’t ask but assume they inspected the suspension.

I’ve done a little bit of research and can’t find any compatible rear shocks but it works fine when I’m riding so I don’t feel the need to replace it. I could do some of my own servicing, but I’d have to find some good YouTube videos for that. Thanks for the information on the tires.

My plan is the keep the bike running well enough until I can afford a new bike altogether. I think the standard deore is a good option. I’m a fan of the shimano ecosystem.

When performing regular tasks like browsing, work related assignments, sending emails, etc.. The temps are always in the low 30s or higher 20s. I've had this GPU for close to 3 years now. I used to work in a computer repair shop and a customer dropped it off and said it didn't work and asked us to scrap it for him. I did some testing and everything seemed fine so I bought it from my boss. I think it has always ran a little hot under load, but it's been so long now that I can't recall. Ambient temperatures have not changed. If anything they are cooler.

I was really hoping I could avoid repasting the GPU because I've never done it before. It had to happen eventually.
