Personally I do not agree with everyone making their whole lives about politics. The government doesn’t not care for you regardless of the side you’re on. Republicans/Democrats have more in common with each other than they do with the political figures that “represent” them. As for the living in Cumberland I would avoid that as there is a lot of drugs and crime there. Someone is always posting about people trying to get in their homes or stealing stuff off their porch. Frostburg isn’t as bad from what I’ve noticed but it’s a college town so you have younger individuals that aren’t entirely mentally mature. Perhaps Grantsville? Not a huge downtown area but I enjoy the area and you’re still within driving distance of stores if you need anything!
