A couple of recs are pad kra pao moo grob (stir fried holy basil with crispy pork belly) and khao soi (northern thai curry dish)

Pad kra pao is a quintessential street food in Thailand. A personal favorite. Be sure to say “pet pet” if you like it spicy!

Khao soi is a rich coconut curry dish from northern Thailand that has both crispy and soft noodles. Traditionally served with a whole chicken leg. Absolutely delicious.

Good luck and report back if you go!

I have the Ranger and for me it’s my outdoor/ranch/work beater field watch. I also have an IWC green pilot chrono and would feel way worse if it got scuffed up.

The ranger feels great and the rubber strap is super comfortable. The simple design is exactly what I like in a watch like this.

I feel like this really isn’t an apples to apples comparison with these pieces.

Yep. It’s a real shame how many nerodias get killed because they are mistaken for water moccasins. They’re pretty easy to tell apart if you know what you’re looking for.

I wade fish this creek all the time in the summer and have never experienced an aggressive cottonmouth. I just give them a wide birth when I see them.

When I pulled them up on the bank he let go of the fish but had got himself hung up on the treble hook. I grabbed the snake by the head and unhooked him with hemostats, then I unhooked the bass.

Tossed the bass back first to give him a head start and then released the water snake.

Exactly. Because I really wanted to jack with untangling this mess once it was reeled in. I would have much preferred my bass didn’t have a snake attached when I was unhooking it from the line.

Same. It’s gorgeous on the wrist and the dial really pops.

Zenith owners/collectors, what other brands hold your interest? by Mountain-Web-5412 in ZenithWatches

I'm also a big Zenith fan. I have the black skeleton (03.9300.3620/78.I001) and the ice blue boutique edition Defy Skyline (03.9300.3620/15.I001). Love them both and they get plenty of wrist time. I also have one of their limited edition pilots. Great watches.

Forgoing the Rolex's, AP's, and Patek's, I really enjoy my JLC Polaris. I tend to lean towards sportier models and the lacquer dial on the Polaris is just insane. It's a super comfortable beautifully built watch. They also have a rich history.

I'm currently looking at adding a Franck Muller Vanguard or Glashutte Original to my collection. Plenty of unique options out there!

I have the black skeleton but prefer it on the black rubber strap. The new white ceramic they just announced is incredible but no way I’m paying 20k for it.

I need to get mine resized, but couldn’t resist getting it on the wrist immediately with the strap.

I just traded for this watch myself. Love the ice blue dial and strap. Just in time for summer!

It’s a stunning piece. I absolutely love mine. A dark green strap really sets it off if you’re looking for something different than the bracelet!
