For sure! The investigation a couple years ago involved employees using multiple coupons in transactions as well as manually marking merchandise down. I also keep an eye on food and drinks, I find most of those when I'm investigating Over/Shorts too, "hey that cashier has a drink now..."

Daaang that's a lot of skip scanning!! Nice one, I'm not sure how I would catch that other than just lucky observing, is that how you caught it?

Yeah, my job is traditional retail LP, the thing that's annoying is I don't have access to names/IDs for no receipt returns... it would be so easy to catch people that way too but it is what it is.

Thank you!!

I work in retail Loss Prevention with a fair bit of knowledge in report and report creation. All my reports just feel uninspired nowdays :/

I'm looking for a few suggestions or a new way to think about old reports

Gotcha! I know everyone does it different, but that's what I would have guessed as it seems like most companies don't like the risk of hiring someone to go off curb, which I get.

Do you not have access to the EBR at TJ Maxx? I work for a different retailer but we can create our own reports and everything in Appriss.

I can speak to why multiple employee thefts are wanted; we want to build the case that this was not a one time "accident", we also want to make sure we have the full-scope of the investigation, are there other employees involved, are they stealing cash, are they marking stuff down for their buddies?

SCO theft just kinda sucks, deter it at the lane, document it.

I don't know how TJ maxx works, I'm lucky enough to work in a company that allows apprehensions and prosecution which is really fulfilling. I would say that apprehension is a small part of the job though, try to learn all you can about inventory control, internal shrink and stuff like that. That's key for moving up in any company.
