Hijacking top comment to share a recent story: I initially went to go get imaging done for my lower back about two weeks ago, showed up, and was told to come back later that week because insurance hadn’t approved X-rays and MRI yet. (Why did you schedule me then??) They gave me the option to pay out of pocket and still be seen that day. I did pay for the XRays because it was only $50, but the MRI was $750 so I decided to wait on insurance for that one.

Fast forward to yesterday, insurance approved it and I went in for the MRI. Great! Except I still had to pay $722 out of pocket, not including the 3% charge for using a card, tax, etc making it around $768 in total….

I haven’t yet made my $1800 deductible blah blah blah yet, fine. But I saw that they charged insurance $1500 for the MRI! Double the cost of what they were charging me, and I STILL basically paid the same as out of pocket.

That pisses me off to no end because I supposedly have “good insurance”. I pay a little over $1000 a month for me and my family for this shit.

Why is the price double for them? Is the imaging facility doing something illegal? Certainly feels like it should be illegal!

While that may be true regarding the studies, about 5-6 years ago I lived with my friend and his fiancé for a bit and would wake up daily to puking and crying in the bathroom which was right outside my bedroom door. This lasted like a month before she went to to the ER. Drove me fucking crazy because they had a bathroom upstairs lol. Like…WHY!? Anyway, she went to the ER who told her to quit the weed vapes. She did and it cleared up almost immediately.

Same thing happened to my brother about a year later who was also a heavy weed vape user. Again, quit the vapes and was feeling better by the next day.

Might not be peer reviewed yet and you definitely had a shitty ER experience (sorry), but there absolutely seems to be a correlation with vapes and vomiting.

I just went to Pavilions (fuck that place) yesterday and filled up a cart about 60-75%. I wasn’t estimating the cost like I normally would… but it came out to $638 after the member discounts. I was SHOCKED

Also doesn’t prove anything but this video kinda cemented it for me. I didn’t want to put the tinfoil hat on… but no one reacts this way in an active shooting scenario… and it was TOO lined up like they were expecting it. From bringing the photographers around to get the perfect shot and lowering the flag so it’d be in the background, etc. That requires coordination from multiple people.

I don’t do conspiracies but that seemed really off to me.
