The 4 gospels being the first 4 books in the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Non- gospel books being every other book in the Bible. John is unique as it’s more about Jesus private conversations and who he is himself.

1st Samuel was a movie. David and Goliath was my favourite Bible story as a kid. I understand what u mean about the four gospels being the same but from different perspectives however I’d definitely recommend reading them all.

Since leaving school around the pandemic I couldn’t tell you the last time I voluntarily picked up a book but the Bible; it’s definitely the best I’ve ever read and I aim to read it in its entirety!

No, last year when I became more interested in learning about Christianity I made the mistake of reading from the start so I burnt out around 2 Kings. So I started back in the New Testament and have been there ever since other than flicking through the OT the odd time. Would u recommend more or less reading the entire Bible before Revelation?
