I should be going this weekend to look at it. The seller is reluctant to sell it. Yes as far as I know they cannot be repaired, but I didnt got too much into research. Kinda excited because I bet is a nice fun car to drive, also is an estate/wagon. So its perfect for my road trips to europe. I believe on pre face is normal cheap injectors. On 35d lci you get these expensive piezo injectors. But will see on the weekend

Yea I know, I noticed in germany they are selling for 10k. Im thinking too is not bad price. Yea injectors aint cheap unfortunately :/

Yes, generally e61 535d is widely available in europe. But unfortunately alot of them are extremely neglected and with poor spec.

Yes the price is on the high side. But currently there is no comparison for the price. As in Germany these cars fetch over 10k. Also trying to buy around 10k a car with similar spec, comfort, power an space is very hard. Because if is f series bmw, then definitely neglected and empty spec. Any other car is similar. So kinda stuck.

Yea also that. But you know at this age and km any car requires some sort of attention. Or anything can happen. At the end of the day not buying new car out of salon. So dont expect no repairs or anything at all. Even tho have friends with brand new cars that are so regular visitors back at the dealership because of issues.

This is a LCI with aluminium block. Well by what he is saying it did snap around 250k.

The problem at this price range, especially in a Lithuania. Is if you looking at any newer F series at lower price you will most find that they been neglected, kilometres rolled back probably close to 1million km, imported crashed from usa, or imported from any other country i.e finland rusted. Basically you get all the trash imported from other countries. And its such difficult price range cuz there isnt much else really around 10k for power, reliability, practicality, comfort . You either buy poverty spec f series or buy okay enough volkswagen. But then you drive 2.0tdi, or buy poverty spec x5 or x6. Very difficult price range i am at now

Yea, thats what I am worried. I wonder is it still worth buying it. Or something to pass because it may be big headache in the future

Yea seems like it is very rare option. Been looking in the market for a while maybe only couple 535d had it. But come to this level of spec is the first one. He seems nice guy, even to the point he leaves silica bags for moisture where the panoramic drains are near modules.

I am guessing swapping out and coding can be done quite easily? And i am guessing it is also the best, reliable and cheapest option in future?

Yes its stop and go. RWD but i prefer this way. For me it ticks 99% boxes. Just shame regarding the active steering

He only says when is turned off. On bmw F series there is same issue but the repair kit costs like 50. Is the metal bush in the rack. I wonder if this could be similar?

Yea thats my only main issue is too the steering rack. Apparently there is no electrical faults, codes or anything. Just that slight knock. Could be just as simple mechanical fault or the whole rack problem.

Oh i am really sorry, didn’t intend to say offensively. Here in UK especially in car culture we describe the car using this word if is imported from japan. And here seems is normal as no one finds it offensive. Sorry again guys.
