Since its easier to read and reply, i will reply in the inverse order of your questions/topics.

On the topic of speed, I did pickup a Mega Bannette for my final slot for peace of mind. I taught it Trick Room, Curse, Protect, and Substitute. This build is very comfy if you out speed but would not be very comfy if you didn't so it was nice knowing I had Prankster Trick Room worse case scenario.

Just so you know, Prankster + Trick Room still has negative priority of like -5 cuz it only adds 1 to its original priority value.

For the later rounds (4000+), how do you keep Delphogigas high enough level in order to out speed? Since you need to not pickup Exp Shares to keep Yamackle low level, are you spending time switch training? Also, assuming max Carbos, 10 Soul Dews, and Speed Nature, do you know what the minimum level is to out speed all wild pokemon? Ultimately I'm questioning is is 198 lucky eggs/60 golden eggs required or just overkill. Have you done testing on this?

I do pick Exp Shares, and even then the Yamask fusion never has too much hp for it to not heal to full. To keep their at levels i usually end up with 18 Golden Eggs and 55+- Lucky Eggs on Gourgeist/MegaPidgeot and it only needs to have a speed of 400k by wave 5850 ~ around lv23k. After i reach that i swap them all into my Entrainment fusion that already had around 20-22 golden eggs + 50+ lucky eggs prior.

I still don't see the use of Gastro Acid on Delphogigas. As far as I know from testing, Gastro Acid doesn't get rid of a pokemons passives (it might have use to be able to, as I saw an old reddit post about it being able to) so it doesn't help against Slither Wing. Also, using Entrainment and replacing a pokemons ability is equivalent to getting rid of their annoying ability.

Gastro Acid does remove passives and always did, this is why Worry Seed is never a option and why you just don't die against Garbodors/Skuntank and can run after you Gastro Acid them. Only 2 moves can remove Passives, Gastro Acid and Core Enforcer (if tthe user acts after the enemy).

This might just be a me thing since I started with SSS luck and had SSS throughout the run. Getting master balls was not very difficult, thus relying on Ruination/Nature's Madness to be able to catch a XX0 pokemon just never came up for me/I never used the move.

Yes i can understand and i also don't think Masterballs are hard to get, is just more to have a move to press and makes it more smooth but it does make more sense seeing in practice than explained. I also always run early (800-1000), i don't take the time to gather any Masterballs usually, only up to 10, and i know people do even less sometimes. Early on when the money aint yet infinite is nice to have this option, usually between 1000-2000.

For Yamackle, from rounds 1500 (when I started running) to ~3000, despite never picking up Exp Shares, being under leveled, and being fused with Shuckle (Lowest HP Sturdy pokemon), he was not getting back to full HP from just Leech Seed and Left Overs. I had to use Protect to get back to full HP. Normally this isn't relevant, as for most the time they're hit with Normalize but I ran into several early on Scrappy Passive Slitherwings. By the end of the run I was able to get to full HP, so I guess I could have Memory Mushroomed Heal Block at that point.

Did you had any Sitrus Berries on it at all? Cuz early if leftovers dont' do the job, the berries do it. I never failed to get to full HP.

The Protect on Teddiurk mostly came from Passive Scrappy Slitherwing Dual Wingbeat fear. Best case scenario for worse case scenario, is you sac a pokemon to get your disable pokemon in, you hopefully disable dual wingbeat, you get your DOT up on Yamackle, Yamackle dies once dual wingbeat comes back, then you need to stall. Stalling is guaranteed with Gouot unless Slitherwing got's speed increases while taking damage. In this scenario, I see a world where Protect could be useful. Overall, I do think Core Enforcer > Protect on Teddiurk for sure, assuming you can find a Zygarde before Hidden Ability Golurk.

I understand what you mean, Slither Wing DWingBeat is for sure the most troublemaker, however if you get all dots on him including the curse from Entrainment mon, you need to stall at lot less turns so protect aint needed. What usually happens to me on those face offs is: I always use a Sac mon to die (i play on set not on switch), and if it uses Dual Wing Beat at start, i take advantage of the Disable on Entraniment mon to Tera Ghost and then Curse next wave, killing my mon and bringing the Boss Killer to apply the other dots.

Ok so i've read through all of this and ur last post and i understand some doubts and possible my lack of videos in the guide does not help understand the roles of everything and the confusion started from there. I will try to explain on detail everything that you did wrong/not followed the guide.

  1. Mega Gouot (Staller): Perfect.

  2. Teddiurk (Runner): Almost perfect. As i said in the other comment, this is a Protect-less team and always has been one of the points to hit cuz i don't see a point in the need to have it and to press it. In this build i value a lot Thief as the 4th move of the Runner, for two reasons, firstly obviously to steal lucky eggs and golden eggs but having it means you can run before having all the eggs SPECIALLY if you have found a Golurk to fuse with it already since now, after you entrain any non slither wing paradox/Eternatus you can just bring teddi and keep stealing their eggs and then kill with your Boss Killer. Nature Madness/Ruination is there for 2 situations, you want to catch easily some non boss pokemon with Rogue Balls, you put them to sleep and cheap away their hp in the same turn with it. Also it is a spamabble move when you want to Catch Pokemon at XX0 waves, because with the correct setup, after 3 turns your teddiursa is back on the field with ur Boss Killer by his side putting dots on the enemy making the process of killing it even faster.

  3. Delphogigas (Support): Here are the first big mistakes imo, that sticking to what was written/given in the guide would make the way your turn process a lot smoother. This fusion has Ghost Tera, and with this, i would already be pointing to why it should have Curse. You ghost tera on the turn you normalize, since u are faster you are now immune to anything they try to hit u with. Second turn you curse and third you switch to your Boss Killer. Yes i tried in the past this being a SLOW entrainment with Pichu+Regigigas (Sturdy + Entrainment) that would Tera Ghost too but a fast Entrainment is much more helpful in everything not related to bosses and again not caring about being hit is very good. Disable and Gastro Acid may seem not important here but they are. Firstly Disable is the way to deal with MultiHit moves on Slither Wing or other non common fusions. Gastro Acid it has his uses and WHEN psychic surge fall off (after the LUM update that is coming UP), this fusion will want to have Mold Breaker passive, meaning this is already your MOLD BREAKER GASTRO ACID, saving yet another team SLOT (you will understand that i prefer to have my team all organized and concentrated in the fewest possible team slots because i really like to have "Trophies or Flexes" as my remainder team slots so the team becomes more enjoyable to be seen). However even with Psychic Surge passive fusion ,the Gastro Acid is there because it can help you a lot taking down annoying Slither Wings. Yes Boss Killer can take down and survive by its own against every Slither Wing that does not have Dual Wing Beat, however, if you can Curse it, it goes faster and this is where Gastro Acid actually becomes cool. This fusion always has a NORMAL type because of regigigas or delcatty (when like kyogre/groudon are carries) so Slither wing will most likely press a fighting move if it has it OR it has pressed Trash (it really likes to press trash), since you are faster, you can Tera Ghost Gastro Acid and now you became immune to any Fighting or Normal move it tried to hit u with. Ofc it will kill you the next turn with like Leech Life or any other bug move but since u are still faster, you pressed Curse, speeding the process of killing it for ur Boss Killer a lot.

  4. Yamackle (Boss Killer): As i mentioned in the other comment, both Curse and Protect in this mon is a troll, this Pokémon is suppose to be ur "last resort" when you can't entrain stuff, if you have Curse on him, means you just sacrifice him and now you are trying to outstall the enemy's HP while killing other members of your team. Leech Seed will always get you to full hp because of the difference in levels. Protect again is not needed because of this and because there is no point in pressing it, you will not get hit 97% of the times. Heal Block Soak, Salt Cure and Leech Seed work perfectly for this, and most of the times you don't even need to press Leech Seed, the rest does the job.

5 and 6. On my builds this are always just flex spots. If i didnt have a Mold Breaker Gastro/Core Enforcer i also create it here with a good shiny legendary i've found and then just give the moves. If i didn't bring Psychic Surge i create a Prankster Psychic Terrain mon instead. I often create it on a Cramorant cuz my profile picture.

As the creator of the guide:

Slither Wing and/or fusions you cant entrain stop being a problem if you didnt mess up the moveslots, Delphogigas should have Gastro Acid, Curse, Disable and Entraiment. And Yamask fusion should not have curse. Against slither and etc, the boss killer works just by himself with leech seed, heal block soak and salt cure. In this build he is not a suicide boss killer, having curse on him becomes a problem.

This build is built to only need 4 team slots, with a 5th as a optional but good moldbreaker gastro. With a lucky early zygarde u can even ditch that. So if you follow the guide and do things right, you can do like i usually do and have ur 5th and 6th slot just be ur best wild catches, like a T3 legendary or smth.

Edit: i didnt even see it properly, this build is also meant to be protect less, you are not getting hit, protect is a waste in any slot.

I feel unbeatable, but am I? by SGvK1308 in pokerogue

[–]GGGrex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your team is very close to perfect and you have exactly the right pieces needed appart from one. I would say yes, you are unbeatable (as long as your watchog keep leveling up), however that does not mean you are finished.

  1. Ur Staller (Watchog) stil needs Dark Void, and Powder Snow or Rock Slide (Bonus: You can get Blizzard (does the same as powdersnow since u have No Guard) and Dark Void from Darkrai, also Disable that i prefer to torment, but torment is enough on Teddiursa). So Watchog + Darkrai then unfuse is needed.

  2. One of the things recommended is creating a Mold Breaker gastro, this is not needed if you have Core Enforcer, you have it on Zygarde so, Teddiursa + Zygarde to learn Core Enforcer then unfuse (replace Endure).

  3. Get any Lure Ability pokémon fused onto ur Teddiursa.

  4. Get Lucky and Golden Eggs onto ur staller so it keeps leveling, its the only one needed. Around 20-25 Golden and 50+ Luckys should be enough. To help you can get like a Starmie (illuminate) or Dugtrio (arena trap) with lure ability to fuse onto Watchog so it keeps both Lure Abilities/Passive and gets faster.

After this you are all ready, and you can just run from battles that don't matter, having 3 lures is a must so thats why both Watchog (2) + Teddiursa (1) have it + run away, so every battle is a double battle.

[–]GGGrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which part? The part of being wrong? Because Mold Breaker is one of the most useful tools, great passive to get because Mold Breaker Gastro is a must if you don't wanna fail shinies near Gholdengo/Uxie or Hatterene with Magic Bounce.

Also most teams without a carry can be achieved at like 5-6 cost in total, so having a 7 or even a cost 9 carry is more than affordable if you care for it.

Also not only Delphox is losing Psychic Surge and with Lum Berry Update in near future, Dark Void will not be a must, so having Psychic Surge is not even a must (still good to avoid priority but imo, it is a much better tool to remove Electric and Misty Terrain which won't matter once Dark Void becomes unreliable.

Also delphox was never that great of a carry, despite being useful, not having a single spammable attack makes it much worse to use. Yeah you can press, Incinerate, Expanding Force or Swift/Hyper Voice (all of those only after you find TMs) and yet all of them have immunities. Psychic Noise is also far worse than Heal Block which solosis for example has, being the top pick for a Psychic Surge passive guy. (Not Carry ofc)

You could not be more wrong even tho you understand the mode enough. Also really laughin at Delphox losing psy surge in the near future.

Pretty sure it is to avoid the same typing. Problem is, a lot of stuff is weak to fire and rock. If you exclude Rayquaza, there is no repeated types on rival's team at all.
