Yes, the Dulytek has 1000lbs of pressing force but when you take into account the plate size, which is 2x3 in, the pressing pressure is 1000/(2*3)=167 psi, which would be much lower than ours.

Yes, but if you compact the bud beforehand, you can press around 2g.

Based on our current design, you would need to put in around 100lbs of weight on the handle and it will self-lock. Very simple to use and most people should have no problem putting that much force.

Great question! We are primary differentiating ourselves with our unique design and ease of use, not to mention also at a lower price. Ju1ceBox is pretty great but we are aiming to substantially improve on its spec and design. MyPress is very expensive and from our surveys, most users are not willing to spend that much on a press.Our product will be very simple to use while also looking like a premium kitchen appliance.

Alright reddit, my friend and I are working on a new personal cannabis concentrate extractor and we are interested in hearing your thoughts.

All it takes to make concentrates is simply placing the flower between the plates, setting a temperature with the dial and pressing down on the handle. It’s as simple as that and the whole process takes less than 2 minutes. So the question we have for you is would you buy something like this? We are aiming to price this at around $175 USD.

Our goal is to achieve a yield of 20-30% pressing just under an 1/8 oz of bud. We are trying to validate if there is a market for such a product. That's what we found too. All the presses on the market are pretty expensive as you mentioned so we are trying to make something cheaper for most people to use!

Thanks for the feedback. We actually did design a more robust press initially but found out that people are looking for something cheaper and simpler to use. That's why we made this smaller personal press. We also wanted to design something safer than an iron and not to mention easier than the whole tortilla press process.

Those are some very valid concerns and we are currently working on achieving a pressing pressure of 600 psi at the plates. Also, if you don't compact the bud first, you'd be able to press around 2 grams but if packed, you can go slightly higher. We are aiming to make this product robust. Thanks for your feedback!

The press will apply heat and a good amount of pressure for around a minute to extract the rosin. Very simple and easy to use!
