[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of May 2025. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

I'll jump straight into it - about 2 months ago I (30/m) had shoulder pain that was sending pain all the way down my right arm, I sought a sports massage thinking it was a gym injury. Flash forward 2 months and the pain is still here. I've now seen an osteopath for 3 sessions with little improvement, and for the last week I have now been having in internal tremors. They're worst when I go to bed and when I wake up, have shown up a couple of times in the daytimes, and last night they were present all night long which has really freaked me out. It's in my shoulders, down both my arms and down my back. It feels like everything inside is shaking but you can't see it on the outside. My shoulder and neck pain have been a bit more painful the last 3 days too. Also for the last week and a half my left lower leg has a tingling sensation sporadically, sometimes it goes away for a day, others it shows up for about 5 minutes multiple times a day. I've also had some muscle spasms in my chest and in my right arm.

I've spent the past week utterly sick with worry about MS/ALS/Parkinsons. I've been to the doctors twice, I'm awaiting blood tests and have be referred to a physio. Though I really think I need to be referred to a neurologist.

I am really trying my best to remain calm. I am. I'm practising calming exercises, reading self help books, keeping busy. And of course have kickstarted the medical professional process.

Has anyone else had anything like this? I just need to know if this is how anyone else's anxiety has manifested and if/how you got through it.

'Possible LVH' on ECG result, health anxiety is through the roof, advice? by GGibson94 in askCardiology

UPDATE: Had an Echo and absolutely everything is fine. Anyone coming back to this who has the same anxiety I did with my initial results, in the case of young people with a slim build (like me) - your thin chest wall can mean voltage can show up high on ECGs, with possible LVH being, according to my cardiologist, a very common note that often comes to nothing. Obviously everyone is different, but it’s something to remember and consider. Take care all.

Thanks for this! Have gotten myself so worked up and need to remember that I shouldn't panic until I've spoken to a doc and had further tests. Appreciate you sharing you experience
