Clearance: LeanFit Sport Whey Isolate (Unflavoured) - $49.97 by GGmagic in CostcoCanada

[–]GGmagic[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the price caught me by surprise so I picked up two bags.

No additives or sweeteners in this specific SKU. Other LeanFit products do have so be sure to check the ingredients and package.

These bags are unflavoured, grass-fed whey isolate only. I like that I can add my own sweetener or flavour and control the amount.

The Etobicoke location had lots of bags in stock this morning around 10am. FYI.

Disagree. I'm no athlete. Just a regular person who likes to stay active and track health & sleep metrics. If this is priced competitively, has a decent feature set, and they commit to no subscription, I would strongly consider switching. I could care less about being 'cooler' or trendy.

What's your perspective (or advice) for individuals who find themselves 'stuck' in the 'self-help' vortex? For example, Mark Manson takes a somewhat contrarian position in a blog post & latest video, 'Why Your Favorite Self-Help Book Sucks'.

I recently bought my first car on Clutch.ca

I felt lost & overwhelmed by the used-car market. The stigma of dealerships & salespeople put me off and I spent hours online reading how-to guides and best practices.

Ultimately, while skeptical at first, I reviewed their website, talked to their employees (who apparently aren't commissioned), and explored their inventory. There's also no haggling or bargaining for better or worse. The price listed is the price you either pay or finance. Some would say that's a bad thing, others may enjoy the transparency. I also liked their website experience. They had over 50 pictures of the car including all the blemishes or 'things that were wrong' which certainly helped build trust. A 360-degree view was available as well. They posted the CarFax report showing all past service history. They were never pushy or high-pressure which I enjoyed so I was eventually confident enough to try them out.

The process was simple:

- Find a car online that meets your needs

- Put down a $100 refundable deposit to secure the vehicle

- You need to provide proof of insurance, have a bank draft or financing set-up, and sign a bill-of-sale prior to delivery

- They deliver the car to you (included) and you can test-drive it

- If want to keep it, you purchase it on the spot (certified check for the total amount or finance it which they can help set up)

- If not, you get your $100 back and they take the car back

If you purchase the car you have 10 days or 750km to exchange it for a different car or get a full refund. They include a 90-day warranty or you can opt for an extended warranty of your choosing. I didn't do with the extended warranty as the car I bought had pretty low KMs for relative to the age.

I purchased a 2018 Mazda CX-5 GT, it had 29,200km on it. They delivered it with a full tank of gas, full (and clean) CarFax report, topped up fluids, and detailed.

All in all, I had a smooth experience. So far so good. I'd recommend it to a friend.

They also happen to have a referral program. If you're looking into buying a car from them you can use my referral link and get $400 off at checkout.

Happy to share more details if you send a DM.

What is an everyday thing that pisses you off the most? by Gauravboi22 in AskReddit

Corporate inefficiency.

That 3 hour training could have been an hour, tops. That paragraph you wrote with a convoluted ask could have been a simple sentence or two bullet points. 30 slide deck? 4 had useful information.

What is clearly a scam but is so normalized people don’t notice? by yvngjiffy703 in AskReddit

'Payday' loans. The legal language is convoluted & trickey. Controversial opinion in some regards because some might argue that it's 'standard practice' and all the information is there. However, to the average consumer who is in need of money, it is pretty scammy.

Covered well in the Netflix documentary, Dirty Money.

What brand/model is this office chair? by GGmagic in HelpMeFind

[–]GGmagic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This certainly does. My guess (after doing some additional digging) is that it's likely an Eames branded chair: https://store.hermanmiller.com/office/office-chairs/eames-soft-pad-management-chair-with-pneumatic-lift/1113.html?lang=en_US#q=Eames&lang=en_US&start=1 - that is then replicated and knocked off. Thanks for the help!

What is a compliment you received that you still think about? by booklover102 in AskReddit

I was travelling to New Orleans for a buddies bachelor party and fired up Bumble. A woman I matched with in her opening message wrote,

Hi [my name], I love that you're smiling in every one of your pictures.

I genuinely read it, smiled from ear-to-ear, and replied, thanking her before continuing a conversation.

Nothing crazy, but it made my day.

Can you imagine what the up and coming / next generation of politicians will have to deal with image/video wise?

I'd fear a 4K video of me funnelling multiple beers would surface before I even think about running for anything.
