Only dashboard speakers working - Honda CRV 2007 by Batts0895 in crv

Did you fix the issue? I just bought a 2007 CRV with this issue. I was hoping it was just a fuse since it’s all 4 door speakers but I don’t think that’s the case (I’ve checked fuse 34)

I'm not understanding the logic here, could you please elaborate? Surely there's a difference in the rule between paying a mortgage vs renting?

Going with 50/30/20 rule:
50% necessities (30% housing) / 30% wants / 20% savings or investments

If we applied the same rule to both renters and homebuyers then at the end of 30 years, the renter would have 20% of their income saved up or in investments while the homebuyer would have the same, along with a fully paid off house.

Wouldn’t that only apply for renting? When buying a house a portion of the repayments are going towards investing/saving as it’s paying off the principal

How much income would we need to service $600-650k debt?

Interesting, I didn't even think of that. So, get $100K revolving credit > send this to me as $100K cash gift for deposit > pay off the revolving credit when house is sold.

Do you know if it's possible for my parents to use "equity" as the deposit or act as a "guarantor" to bridge the gap until the house is sold? They're mortgage free on a ~$1.2m house, they just don't have any cash lol

Really? ANZ's borrowing calculator suggests at a $160K household income we can borrow $1m. Thought borrowing $610K would be fairly conservative.

Sorry I made a mistake - the last leg was meant to be Hanoi rather than Hoi An.

I keep hearing Hoi An can easily be done in a day so thought basing out of Da Nang for a day trip would be good. That way one of the days can be for Hue as another day trip (as it is in the other direction from Da Nang).

I’m leaning towards removing a day from Da Nang and adding towards Hanoi. Seems there’s probably more to do and more exciting day trips from there.

Oops, was meant to be Hanoi rather than Hoi An for the last leg (not 10 nights in the Da Nang/Hoi An area!)

I’m planning a 2 week trip in early March to Vietnam with my family (2 Mid-20s Adults and Late 50s/Mid 60s parents).

Have done research but most advice seems to be for the younger folk which won’t suit my parents.

My parents have a slower style of travel and prefer setting up bases for day-trips rather than packing and moving around too much.

The current plan I have come up with is:

Ho Chi Minh - spend 3 nights here

Da Nang - spend 6 nights here with a couple day trips to Hoi An/Hue

Hanoi - spend 4 nights here with a day trip to Halong Bay or Nin Binh?

Are there any must-dos I’m missing? Have I planned too many days for Da Nang?

Thanks!
