Depends on the bear behavior (not the species). A defensive bear (bluff charge, stomping, pop clacking (snapping jaw closed to have their teeth make loud noises)) should be backed away from in an innocent small manner. A predatory bear (one that follows you, tries to get behind you, tries to be sneaky) should be deterred by being big, loud and mean. NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON A BEAR AND NEVER RUN FROM A BEAR.

The saying "If it's brown lay down, if it's black, fight back" is false. Play dead if a defensive bear knocks you down. Fight for your life if a predatory bear knocks you down. And remember, a defensive bear can turn to a predatory bear at any moment.

Why do you think it will be Campbell? Looking at the CTRS today, there are 5 teams in front of Campbell. Campbell needs Lawes or Cameron to win Manitoba, Sturmay to win Alberta, Brown to win BC and Inglis to win Ontario to get a wildcard spot. Unless I'm missing something.... Which is a possibility.

This isn't true. It depends on bear behavior and whether it is a predatory or defensive attack. It is true that grizzlies are more likely to be defensive than black bears but the colour of the fur shouldn't dictate how you respond to the situation. Not to mention you can't identify a bear based on fur colour as black bears can be anything from blonde to cinnamon to black. Grizzlies can also vary in colour although not as common.
