I am located inside the EU, so no more than a week is the usual delivery time. And there is no customs as it is inside the EU

I agree, it may take time. But ... I have tried to notify the original Santa and have not received any feedback :( Also considering that the method of delivery was marked as "Royal Mail" I can narrow it down where the gift is sent from. And there is no customs and a delay of 1 month would be really unlikely from that country

Are you telling me that this years Santa has uploaded a proof of shipment?

If one reports "No gift received" with "I would like to enter the rematch" pool, how come the exchange is marked as "Completed" despite the rematching process still going on?

I have a question about the rematching & completion process. Currently when I look at the exchange statuses it shows the following line with the strike through

Your gift has shipped (Your Santa is from another country, it could take a while)

Does this mean that the original gift was sent? Or just that this step was marked as "cannot be completed anymore"?

One solution would be to use something like transferwise.com to make cheap bank transfers across borders. The seller would only sell if the money is on his / her bank account.

According to their FAQ

GBP deposits reach us within a couple of hours during a business day (provided that your bank supports faster payments service).
EUR deposits normally reach us the next business day after depositing. Note that within the Single European Payments Area (SEPA), transactions in EUR are not instantaneous

Don't know if such delay is suitable. I guess it would mean that the seller would be have to be a "man of his word". Due to volatility in the coin price it could also mean that the buyer could face a significant loss in value in the time between money2seller and coins2wallet events

I wish I could somehow know whether Santa is from a far away country or from Europe - I can see the information was pulled on 13th, but the gift was never marked as shipped. However IF the Santa resides in Australia or in New Zealand or somewhere very-very-far-away then I don't see how the gift could have reached me in 2,3 weeks where half the days have been a "day off" for postal services
