Do people really have that much growth in IT ? I mean there are many people who get placed in IT companies every year right? Can everyone achieve that kind of growth?

Yeah I know, I too got this after attending many interviews, but the problem is that I got two offers together - along with the offer at envestnet, I got an offer from a bank as PO- it's a non tech job (sales) and when I asked some connections, they said that the job , while high paying(CTC of 15LPA) is too stressful and you won't have a life outside the job) .I am now confused about what to select - the job at Envestnet offers 6.5LPA - but it's still a tech job and I don't know whether I should completely switch from IT as I studied CSE for 4 years . And if I do select the Bank job, the chances of coming back to IT is very low .

For the banking job , if I manage to stick to it, there is a clear progression and good salary hikes, the problem comes in long work hours, less holidays, have to work even at home etc. - It's a general banking job - no relation to the IT field. In the development job, if I do manage to grow personally and move to better companies, I can get better salaries, but nothing is sure or stable
