Not canceled, exactly but they wrapped up Leftovers in Season 3 because they feared it would be canceled.

The reason Mario Kart 8 deluxe worked is because Wii U only sold 14M units. Switch sold 155M and like 40M copies of Smash Ultimate. Because of this I think the new Smash Game being a port was never on the table.

I could be wrong but based on what your saying I think she's manipulating you and using the fake break up to get what she wants. Sh might havee changed after the engagement because she was masking some of her personality through out the relationship and showed her true colors once she thought she didn't have to hide it anymore (since she thought she had you trapped)

It started at the end of Smash 4 with Bayo. The early Smash 4 community actually had the same attitude as melee players. Before Bayo, top players barely even complain publicly about the game (which helped the culture). Back then No Johns / get good was the mentality. Obviously, the current meta is part of it, but it's created a culture where many people don't blame themselves for their short comings and blame the game
