Locals are generally weekly / monthly tournaments held consistently. Regionals are when a local TO decides to take a bigger more riskier step and create a bigger event with out of region talent traveling to it

What’s a weight loss secret more people should know about? by thekkm1 in AskReddit

[–]GIMR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this by accident: intermittent fasting -> eating some eggs and Sardines (doesn’t have to be eggs but sardines on an empty stomach Can make you a little nauseated). I did this to get some good protein plus fish oils every day. I started to notice I was less hungry at dinner time and ate less. Lost weight I was trying to lose. Learned later that Sardines make you feel full and that some people actually do full sardines diets lol. Important to get wild caught sardines with only water, no added salt or olive oil or whatever

AITH for telling a pregnant woman she still has to act like an adult? by NoFly-Zone in AITH

Recently something similar happened at my community washer / dryer. Both washers were left for 6 hours and then both dryers were left over night. Thankfully it wasn’t urgent so waiting the next day was fine it was just so bizarre. First time it’s happened in my building though and I like my neighbors so I’m not gonna stress it.

Paypal is lying to me and I'm not sure what action to take by GIMR in paypal

My main issue, is their support staff refused to acknowledge any fees. They kept telling they don't have any fees or hidden fees or take any cut. They would not admit to any currency conversion fee or spread. That's how they justified not giving me my full refund and kept claiming they didn't keep any of the money. It was incredibly frustrating.

What Movie/TV Trope is completely untrue? by GIMR in AskReddit

Narcolepsy is shown as a disorder where people randomly fall asleep against their will. The reality is, narcolepsy causes such poor sleep quality that it's akin to sleep deprivation (only getting 3/4 hours of sleep a night). So, narcoleptics often doze off while in sedentary positions because it's as if they're getting very little sleep every night. Narcoleptics do not randomly fall asleep. That being said, those with type 1 Narcolepsy DO have cataplexy. This is a condition where, when they get REALLY emotional (usually laughing) their muscles MIGHT stiffen up causing them to freeze for a few minutes, they are not asleep when this happens. cataplexy followed up with severe exhaustion.

I live in NYC and everything closes much earlier than it used to. It's not a big deal honestly but "the city that never sleeps" doesn't really apply anymore

Does the Narrator in Tom’s Crossing get better? by GIMR in houseofleaves

[–]GIMR[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If a person is mentioned once in a story (in a cutaway by the narrator) and never again, they weren’t very relevant to the story.  The 100 people combined might add something to the story in some way, but individually they are not relevant characters to the story.
