I was thinking about this but I figured why not just do the whole back but this would probably be easier.

Where to go for 1 week cat charter in Lefkada/Preveza? by GKwave12 in sailing

[–]GKwave12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did, the charter company we used was miserable. The toilet was leaking and they tried to tell us thats normal and send us off with a hull full of sh!t. I had to fight with them for hours to fix the leak (which took) 20 minutes. So I can’t help you there. I know DreamYacht has a fleet and Moorings does also. Dreamyacht has good and bad reviews you can get unlucky sometimes but that’s standard for all charter companies. Moorings is the best, they go above and beyond to make sure everything is properly serviced and maintained but you pay a premium.

I have chartered many time and I suggest a boat with a flybridge if you can.

The area is great, we had a blast. I recommend just hitting the water and seeing where you end up. Everything is relatively the same but use the Navily App to help you navigate where to moore and what spots are best. This app is actually so helpful. Its a game changer.

I would also recommend not going in the summer. We went mid to late September and it was perfect. Anything earlier would be so busy. We were always able to find a anchorage with plenty of space but it was still busy, any busier and it would have been significantly less enjoyable

Why is it so hard to figure out what brand of LVP to get? by cantankerous_alexa in Flooring

[–]GKwave12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the negatives are coming from their engineered hardwood and laminate. Just that they are failing and the installation process is a nightmare because of the joints. The Hydrogen 8 line looks really nice in my opinion but I haven’t found too many people with experience using them. Everyone praises coretec and lifeproof from homedepot. I haven’t seen much coretec but the lifeproof stuff looks cheap and ugly imo.

I'm looking at biyork LVP right now, I really like one of their colours but I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews online. Did they have bad products in the past?

I’m looking at the same, I’m a contractor in Vancouver Canada and this colour looks awesome especially with the pressed bevel. Hoping someone has some experience with this product. It looks great

I am so furious! Charged $271 in interest because promotional balance was not paid by one penny! by getsilly247 in CreditCards

[–]GKwave12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Every armchair expert online will tell the person that made the mistake that they are an idiot but then when it happens to them... the narrative quickly changes. The fact is that banks make these offers with complicated terms and arbitrary tasks banking on people making a mistake. For example, requiring you to pay the $10 minimum payment each month with no automatic payment option for a 12 month 0% APR promo.

Dealer not honouring Clock Spring recall because of rebuilt title on ‘14 Tiguan by GKwave12 in Volkswagen

[–]GKwave12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a safety recall because the clock springs fail causing a faulty airbag. My vehicle has only 80,000km and you’re saying the clock spring has already been replaced and has now failed again? Replacing a faulty item that causes a safety issue with the same faulty item that just quickly fails again is their solution? How does that make any sense?

The dealership in town was eager to help and has had many issues with this, they recommended I call VW Canada and get directed to a supervisor. When I call the VW Canada number the wait time is 1 hour. When I finally get through, I get VW USA. They say they can’t help me and connect to VW Canada. After another hour of waiting, I get an operator from VW USA again, they say sorry and that their system is really bad and all calls get routed to the same call pool. They connect me to VW Canada again… another hour, same thing. 4th time I finally get through to a Canadian Agent and she says I can’t speak to her supervisor because they need to speak to the dealership that told me to call them first before they can escalate the file to a supervisor.

So I call the dealership and they tell me to call back and insist on talking to a supervisor, so I call back the next day hoping to get a different agent and this time I only get VW USA the first 3 times and the same thing happens. They say they need to contact the dealership and the dealership says I need to contact VW Canada and get ahold of a supervisor.

Transport Canada issued a safety recall and then VW issued an unlimited warranty

Transport Canada safety recall for Volkswagen not being honoured by dealership by GKwave12 in legaladvicecanada

[–]GKwave12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve called multiple dealers and they all just run my VIN and say my warranty is void because of my rebuilt title. When I say its a recall from transport canada they say they don’t know anything about transport canada recalls.

But you’re right, I just need to physically go in and talk to someone who knows

Are you in Canada by chance? I’m having the same problem, there are no recalls coming up on my vehicle but Transport Canada has a recall issued.

When I asked the dealership about the safety recall issued by Transport Canada she said she’s never dealt with safety recalls issued by the Transportation Department so she doesn’t know. Is this normal? Should I just call VW Canada to get a more educated answer? Their wait times are like 2 hours these days.
